Luke30 will probably begin reading all the threads on the same day he starts writing posts that make sense.

So don't hold your breath.

Well, we've discussed this in the past. But since we have so many new posters around, let's do it again...

1. ESB
2. ANH
3. ROTJ-AOTC tie
5. TPM

You're holding out a lot of hope for Ep3 sight unseen, aren't you, Hal?

Trandoshan Mind Meld. Damn Vulcans stole it from me and made it famous via some inferior TV show.

From what I've heard so far, it should be good.

That's why there's a question mark (?) included next to it.

My stance on revising fan edits.

I piddy those who like Return of the Jedi more then Attack of the Clones. You can like your precious teddy bear ewoks. I'll take an epic computer generated war sequence to teddy bears waving sticks any day.

Yeah, but the CG war sequence was so badly edited; it could stand to be tightened up by @ least a couple of minutes.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

@GundarkHunter: I remember that people who know a lot about editing didn't like what Ben Burtt did to the film. I also agree when people say that there's a lot of elongated scenes in there that are solely made to showcase the special fx.

But I have to admit I like the prequels nevertheless. I'm a StarWars fan to the extreme and after having some time to 'digest' the way the prequels are told, I really love them.

I still accept when people who know a lot about filmmaking say it's not good, compared to the professional standard. I just can't help but like it anyways.

For those same reasons, I like AOTC. However TPM was a bit too difficult to digest.

What you have to understand is The Phantom Menace is that it is the first in the series. It has to set up 5 other movies. Its hard to do this and still be good. It has a lot to explain.

True. and that's why I'm going to give it another shot when I finally remember to rent it.

most teenagers would... they need exciting action sequences to hold their attention to movies these days anyway... too much MTV!

What anybody over puberty doesn't want to see is fighting teddy bears. I rate it on the same maturity as Care bears, or gummi bears. The ewoks were one of the worst ideas in cineama. The Empire Strikes Back was great. I love that dark feel with Attack of the Clones had. Better yet it had no fighting teddy bears.

nor did it have a story, any character development or the magic the original movies had...

it did win a razzy though!

Story was just as good, characters were just as interesting, dark feel was there, effects and action were much better, Natalie Portman is so sexy. It had all I loved about The Empire Strikes Back and more. Attack of the Clones is the greatest movie ever. If anything it had a better story. How a Republic can become an empire. How childish emotions can lead to destuction and evil. Really its all symbolic to our society. Effects were all photoreal. Action is very intense and thrilling. Did I mention how beautiful Natalie Portman is. Yeah.

While your last statement may be partially true, there were criticisms of the Ewoks (or just that they sucked) sense the day they hit the big screen in '83. I wouldn't chalk that all up to teenagers, especially since I'm one that I guess is in that minority? who didn't hate the Ewoks or Jar Jar. But what I do I know.
