I agree that Tatooine is overused.

Moving Jabba's Palace to another conveniently covered-in-sand planet would be pointless. Besides, we'd lose one of my favorite exchanges in the movie:

"I think my eyes are getting better. Instead of big dark blur, I see a big light blur."
"There's nothing to see. I used to live here, you know."
"You're gonna die here, you know. Convenient."
