I wonder how much better AOTC would have been with Kersh. He probably would have shot at all real locations, except Coruscant.

and if one could choose between certain points in the movie or do one get a random face drop?
Star wars: Revisited. is now on facebook :)

Just to backtrack for a moment... Ady, I'm crazy-impressed with those Halloween decorations. If you can do all that with a bit of cardboard, toilet paper, and glue in just a few days, I can't wait to see what you churn out for the new wampa, Falcon, and new Echo Base elements.

Oh and to "geek" that up a bit, Luke ALWAYS wins in that argument.
In regards to the "spinning star field" thing, I wish Davnes or someone would post a comparison with the static Falcon shooting off from Tatooine in ANH:R with the original spinning star field as well as a third option showing the stars streaking outside around the Falcon the way they appear inside the Falcon cockpit.
That way we can visually see the three one after the other and see for ourselves which has the best visual impact.
I can understand getting rid of the spinning star field, as it is inconsistent with other hyperspace shots (be it inside or outside other ships), so maybe instead of reintegrating the spinning star field the stars can streak out to match what we see inside the Falcon's cockpit shot. In fact, to maintain consistency, maybe the "star streaking" can be added in other shots as well, such as when the Rebel fleet jump into hyperspace in JEDI - speaking of which, is the blue hyperspace field going to make a reappearance in JEDI:R (when the fleet jumps out of hyperspace)?
I understand that this can also go in the EMPIRE AND JEDI WISHLIST thread as well.

is there something in the water? why the hell is there so many people arguing on all the topics, i for one might not be a old member but im certainly not new and i am totally sick of readin these posts with one person saying a simple comment like great halloween costumes and getting knocked for it, without this morale im sure adywan wouldnt of been as commited as he is, not that im speakin on behalf of him. Darth Venal i thought ur post was rude and also you may work in the industry but im sick of seeing posts where you belittle other people and big yourself up.
It is one thing to be critical but then there is just rude. Dont get me wrong some people deserve it (fishmanlee) with there constant pushing of ideas and ridiculous suggestions like sticking a monster from monsters inc to replace mark hamill as luke skywalker (not real troll idea but was just a random thought i made up and probably would honestly think about). Some people have good ideas, some people have bad but these are usually discussed and eventually that idea is either used or scrapped. Now we have come down to who has the bigger manhood, its childish behavior that is bringin down my level of excitement of being an active member of this once and glorious site. Its like we have one side we have the oldies and fairly old members and we have the new rude, arrogant and mean people. Its like having a party but then troublesome youths coming in, throws the cake across the room and start a brawl. I say either this stops or serious action must be taken. I dont want this forum be split in two, i hope this forum has a bright future because at the moment it looks very dim.
I go back to dagobah.
We see yoda sits on ground and then at the end of the x wing elevation is on a rock(higher level from luke)
Also considering adding something pre SE that the trees behind the elevation scene have some light that defines the space and creates a less set like feel but claustophobic the same way. Besides in the later shots(pic 2) there is enough light coming behind those trees.
(yes i know there is more light that it should)
-Angel
PS: Add Lensflares to yoda's flashlight...........
Yes Im kidding :P

LOL @ the last one. Looks like a mini saber he pulled out.
Topic cleaned. As always, user bans will follow for those who can't play nice from here on out.

for a lamp that thing sure doesn't light up much. i've always assumed that it was used to look inside close spaces. it seems like it would be a flash light or glow stick more then a lamp.

It wasnt a led light ;)
God i hope this will not create a debate about this lamp :P

Maybe so, but that new picture of the X-Wing being levitated is very nice! One of those rare days on Dagobah where the sun is shining behind the thick gloom. :)
Well with my version you get more visible detail, better mood, sense of scale( jungle always wins) and light behavior.
-Angel
I like it. Especially is that was in a hi-def format. This is definatly a shot that Ady needs to take advantage of and make it nice.
The lighting in the GOUT version above the X-Wing looks weird, making it almost like there's another swamp floor above and behind them.
I definitely like the new one. At first I thought it was too bright, but when compared to the GOUT, it actually resembles the original more than the 2004 DVD.

I didn't do the third option you suggested because I didn't feel it was necessary....and I was too lazy ;)
Star Wars Episode XXX: Erica Strikes Back
If you want Nice, go to France
I dunno which I prefer. The spin is certainly more unique, but the static star field makes more sense. Hmm...
Loving Angel's mockup, which does look more like the OUT version updated than the SE version.
I actually prefer the spin at least in that instance and it would be nice to see it once in each film.

I always loved the look of Dagobah. To me, it is a lot like the designs of Legend. It really adds fantasy to Star Wars. But what you have done makes the previous releases of Dagobah look like a mere set (which it is)
Keep it up Angel!!!!!!!!!
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

If you notice closely in GOUT you can see the mattelines. where the set ends.
I know and agree the way that ady sees dagobah as unpredictable and claustrophobic feeling.
My 2 cents is to improve fix some bad elements.
-Angel
Yep. I like it alot, Angel! :D
