This is now canceled,NO point(in my opinion)in having so many versions of the same set,so just follow Arnie.d's V8 and now X9 and Aleksbmw new super duper sets,but truth be told,this is great relief for me,these LD's are just to much work,after messin with SW all this time I now realize how much this set really SUX!

I am truly sorry Russ,but after reading everything I have read here over the past couple days,I have lost ALL interest in doing this now,so like I said,good luck to the other guys.

I have already deleted EVERYTHING related to this effort off my PC and disconnected the LD player and put it back in it room.

Even though the Gout has much better quality I did like the different look of this.

But as you said, there are other projects in the making. Let's hope we'll see them in a few months

Thanks for trying anyway - I just hope those other JSC projects come to fruition like yours clearly was. I know this set hasn't got the greatest image quality, but it seems to be the only choice for anyone who finds DVNR-smearing really irritating.

I am just a little concerned that all these sets will all be a little over-post-processed. Certainly the image looks much much cleaner, but it's so easy to apply too much noise reduction and sharpening. I'd really like to see a JSC trilogy warts-and-all release... but I can't see that happening.

That was actually my plan,I was going to do a big time cleaned up(filtered)version and a bare bones only anamorphic version to keep it raw like the LD.

Are you still working on the 97 SEs? Really would love a good version to watch (besides VHS!)-the only other project is Max Rebo's ongoing superset preservation.

Yes I still plan on doing a "Take 2" of the 97' SE LD set.
