Now do you guys like the Dagobah "color correction." IMO, it was to extreme. It looks dead and gray. TOO, dead and gray.

No it's pretty much returned to it's original pre-blue tint palette which is what I want to see so I'm happy with it.

Alright, good. I thought I seen it on youtube and it was gray, I'll go re-check.
You'd be better off downloading the trailer and or footage from the links provided on the front page of the ESB:R thread.

Well that goes to V topic anyways, but i have to agree with you. The black and white thing on dagobah is a bit destructing for the young eyes. I liked the blue hue anyways.

There's something rumbling overhead in rumourland it seems....

But there's something else that's being suggested here too (just scroll down a little) - http://marketsaw.blogspot.com/
WOW! I would love to see what Steven Speilburg would do.
Now the question is, Will there be more changes and added scenes.

....and will everything still be BLUE?
I misread it. I skimmed fast and quickly posted it elsewhere.
A NEW trilogy? I personally want to see all 6 movies their full potential before we see a new trilogy. Could it be a re-made PT? Before the PT? After the OT?
I really trust Steven Speilburg. I trust that he really has some story to work with.

You know, this is one thing that really pisses me off, and it all thanks to the crappy 2004 DVD colouring. I've had the same thing in the comments on the youtube videos and thorough emails and it makes me wonder if these people had even seen star wars before 2004. The bullshit that the blue colouring creates a great atmosphere and was a deliberate creative decision is probably one of the most stupid comments i have ever heard. So Yoda is supposed to be blue then change to a neon cyan colour? Now what is the true colour of ESB? The GOUT has a red tint to it due to the print used for the transfer but the colours still look the best. The 1997 SE seems to be getting the blue tint and Yodas colouring starts to change. The 2004 DVD, well you only have to look at it to know just how wrong that is. So i decided to get closer to the GOUT without the red tint and also use on set photos to get an idea of colouring. Yoda is now finally back to being green :)
And yes, this should have gone in the ESB:R thread
That sir, is beautiful.
Yup, that's masterful work.
It's frightening how much the SE releases deviated from the wonderfully rich colours that were originally there. Just one of too many supposedly 'creative choices' that were a turn for the worse on those unfortunately.
There are a couple of other seminal movies I can think of that have also had their original vibrant natural colouration messed about with for the worse these days, and it's a trend I deplore.
So it's going to be great to see Yoda and his environment back closer to their original hues in this latest 'Revisited'.
Beautiful work, Ady.
Ady, didn't you get the memo? Lucas was going back to the original script with a blue Yoda on the DVD release. It was his vision all along! How dare you change it for "consistency" or "returning to the original"! :-P
It's interesting that if we complain long enough about something, you post a new picture to refute it. BTW, I hate what you're doing with the Wampa. It's going to look stupid. I don't trust your creative decisions.
I am so kidding, you know that, right?

ha ha. nice try you two. But i haven't shown anything new because the exact same shot with the colouring has already been seen on my AVCHD version of ESB

Well, the stuff about a possible 3 new movies is unlikely in the extreme, and seems to have been from an 'unsubstantiated' source....but there's always that huge 'cash-grab' dangling out there....so you never know one day....
Lucas still plans to eventually 'dimensionalize' his saga sometime though, but don't hold your breath, as he'll wait until more 3D-enabled screens are established, so he can make more money ....er, make a bigger splash with them. The good news is, that those who have seen the 3D test of the opening scene of STAR WARS:ANH have raved about how great it turned out!
But I guess here would be a better place to add any comments on all that - http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/3D-Star-Wars-for-the-masses-anytime-soon/topic/10070/
I personally like the '97 SE shot best, but it's Ady's edit. I think just a slight tint of blue would look great for the Dagobah scenes - just slight.
A Goon in a Gaggle of 'em
Hoorah for Yoda actually being green again.
Yoda does need to be green. But the blue gives Dagobah an alien feel to it.
I posted this in the 'Episode V' thread, but it has a reason to be here as well.

In regards to the "spinning star field" thing, I wish Davnes or someone would post a comparison with the static Falcon shooting off from Tatooine in ANH:R with the original spinning star field...

Thanks for that. <:)
Is there any way to test the streaking stars in the outside shot (to match what we see in the cockpit)? If the spinning star field was taken out because of inconsistency (which I can understand), having the stars streak as they do inside the cockpit views would retain consistency as well as add that sense of speed that the spinning star fields gave... maybe.
