Any Beatles Fans Here?

Just wondering if there are any fans of their group or solo work. Favorite is Paul, but all solo work by them is good. Also a Stones fan. Drop a line to this post if you like.

I was a Lennon junkie in college. But, overall, I'd say my fave solo Beatle is Stuart Sutcliffe. Just kidding. Actually, I really dig George Harrison's solo work.

I love the Beatles and have several of their albums at home on vinyl. I find vinyl to be the only real way to listen to them. I only have Past Masters, vol. 2 on CD. Vinyl I have Abbey Road (my personal fave), Meet the Beatles, the blue (1967-70) and red (1962-66) hits albums, and Let it Be.

That shouldn't be too tough. You tried Amazon Marketplace yet?

Here, I'll help you out...

Beatles - Rubber Soul (UK Edition)

Beatles - Rubber Soul (Import Edition)

Don't ask me how the UK and import editions are different. I didn't look that deep. I'll leave that up to you.

Import's Japanese; that's why it costs an arm and a leg.

Did you see that the import used copies started at only $8.99 though?

A-ha. I have an album like that too, only it's the Beat Street soundtrack. Talk about guilty pleasures.

One of my guilty vinyl pleasures is my Footloose soundtrack. Gotta love it.

In terms of soundtracks on vinyl, I also have Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown. Those are so incredible on vinyl. Trying to find a relatively inexpensive Reservoir Dogs SDTK on vinyl as well. Few people compile better soundtracks than Quentin Tarantino.

And I love how he doesn't just serve as studio hack who places all the latest and "greatest" music in his SDTKs. He picks the best music and arguably has the best sense of musical timing in the film industry.

Wow, great to get a reponse. I am a Beatles nut first, but also a fan of Star Wars. Just a shame about not getting the original trillogy on DVD. Why, George Lucas, why? As was stated in a South Park episode "Dude, if the Beatles kept releasing the White Album, what would we have?" Oh well. Thanks for the warm reception.

Sorry, should have specified. When talking score, I'm a big John Williams and Danny Elfman fan.

And you are more than welcome, McC fan.

The musical choices for Kill Bill Vol I were equally good. McC F, I'd have to say that, as far as solo work goes, my favourite would have to be George Harrison; he was rather overshadowed during his tenure with the Beatles, but really came into his own with his solo work.

Apparently.

Just found out that I can pick up a vinyl copy of Kill Bill, vol 1 from Tower Records for $14.99. Very tempting.

The "can" is not in question. It's the "will" and the "wallet".
