Remember, I made special single layer bluray editions of Sith and Clones for you BD50 challenged guys so you don't have to re-encode or re-author these.

I noticed and that is cool, but there are no BD25 versions of the OT.

So what encoder do you use and what authoring software?

BD50 Clones seems all upped.  I can almost see the light at the end of tunnel, and I can't wait to see how Menace turns out.

Just wanted to say that I downloaded Clones and burnt to a BD50 yesterday.  Watched it through last night including the Accross the Stars video.

It's an absolutely amazing release and I cannot thank you enough Wookie Groomer.  The picture quality is razor sharp and the audio is first-class too.  I am completely blown away by this release and I'd urge anybody who has the means to download this and Wookie Groomer's other blu-ray releases and burn them to a blu-ray disc; they really do set the standard in HD.

Thanks again Wookie - I can't wait for Menace :¬)

Woo hoo! Just got all of Clones BD 50 down - well, missing about a gigs worth of files thanks to my crappy news server, but thanks to WG's PAR files I'll be in business tonight!

Thanks again, WG,

WG you might want to double check your AOTC BD25 cover art,you have it at 25GB DUAL LAYER,also not sure if you have been reading all these posts or not but some of us are very curious what encoder you use and what authoring program, some of us,myself included would like to do some of our own authoring and am curious what program to try, unless of course you have been reading the posts and just are ignoring us and keeping your programs "Top Secret" for some strange reason.

but anyways there is an error on your AOTC BD25 case art,and Thanks much for sharing all that you share.

In terms of Authoring, without seeing any of the menus on WG's discs, I would take a guess at:

The only other options would be Netblender DoStudio or Sonic ScenaristBD.

Can anyone post a screengrab of the menus?  If it's Adobe Encore, that will also do the encoding I believe.  Could be Procoder, which has some AVC presets, or WG has a better hang of x264 than us ;)

PowerDVD won't let me take a screengrab, wonder why? but the Sith BD25 menu is just a very simple basic static menu(no sound)with a couple of options which also go to a static menu, very simple.

dark_jedi and those asking what programs he uses - it could be because he's hard at work trying to finish Phantom Menace too! Don't automatically assume it's because he's ignoring you; he may not be!

After all, he *is* doing this for free, and doesn't actually owe us anything, really.

I'd second that.  WG has said that Phanto Menace is going to be a challenge and I'd say that pnag is right in that he'll no doubt be working hard on finishing it.

Give the man time :)

A corrected "Attack Of The Clones" BD25 insert has been posted to the usual place for those that want it. The Phantom Menace BD50 Deluxe Edition should see the light of day any moment now...

I see that some major activity has commenced on newsgroups...  I CAN'T WAIT to get my hands on BD50 Menace and see how all the adjustments have turned out.  The unexpected additional videos look very intriguing.  Thank you WG for following through with all six of these, and giving me/many the piece of mind in having the best quality possible until the officials come out.  And also for your extra effort in putting together the isolated music tracks.  They, like all your extras, will surely remain one of a kind features to have even after the officials come around.

Well.... I downloaded the 50 gig version of Revenge of the Sith off of Usenet, but there's no par files. I have several files that appear to be corrupt and no way to repair them. Anyone know where some par files may be or am I out of luck?

Wookie Groomer: Thank you for this beautiful collection.  I believe I have all of your releases in the quality I want: Hope - Jedi BD50, Clones BD25.  I just finished watching Return of the Jedi, and I tried out the alternate audio for Lapti Nek and the Ending song.  The ending song is bearable, with just a bit of the new song on the beginning.  But Lapti Nek needs some work in my opinion.  Are you planning on cleaning that up at any point to make it more like the original?  Is it a timing problem in the film with the new CGI crap?  The version of Lapti Nek in the original film is a bit different - more groovy, as you probably know.  Could we capture it from a laserdisk rip in 5.1 and graft it into your alternate audio?  I'm no expert at Bluray authoring, so I don't know how difficult this would be, but I would definitely volunteer my time and bandwidth to make it happen.

As a side note, I'm able to watch all the Bluray films on my x86_64 Ubuntu Linux box smoothly using mplayer and only free codecs (ffh264 and a52), and I'm able to watch your older releases (VC1) also using only free codecs (ffvc1 and ffwmapro).  It was a pain to set up, but I can send instructions on request to anyone that's interested.  I may do a little blog post about it in the future.

Again, this is constructive criticism.  This is most definitely the best set so far.

Just finished burning Phantom Menace to a BD50 and popped it in a PS3.  Movie looks very good indeed Wookie Groomer and huge thanks and appreciation as always.  It was always going to be the 'grainy one' but you've done a superb job with it and the colour correction is neat too.

I didn't get the chance to watch it all the way through, nor the extras - it was more of a disc test exercise, shuttling through random chapters prior to my marathon WG blu-ray 6-movie session (and two days off sick from work next week), when I will watch each movie in order plus all the extras.

Once again, thank you for all your work and dedication to this project. The set look beautiful and I'd seriously doubt that Star Wars in HD will look better prior to an official commercial release.

I finally got all six of these, and WOW do they look great.  For those weary of taking the jump into BD50s, just do it...  All the "FILM" ones (1,4,5,6) are so sharp that you can see the individual film grains.  Any other versions this aspect gets lost and is just a layer of mushy noise.  Even TPM with the most grain and problems for the first time has a brand new level of detail.  Yeah its still REALLY grainy, but you're seeing all the grains themselves, so you're getting all the picture that is possible.  As for the digital ones, both are also better than ever.  I am officially satisfied until whenever Lucasfilm decides to do their thing.

Thank you WG.
