That fire looks great. Although with that brightness behind him, we wouldn't be able to see Luke's hair like that. Looks nice though.

Speaking of hair, I think we ought to have a go at fixing General Madine's. That didn't even look good in 1983.

I love the SE ending to ROTJ, including the music (but I don't mind that Adywan is changing it). But this is an amazing mockup!

Lando's escape is even more dramatic, I actually wondered whether he was going to make it, great use of the "That was too close!" And I liked having the additional shot of Akbar relieved that the battle is won.

I would have preferred if the sending off was done by Mon Mothma, or Leia, Akbar there feels a little wierd.

Having the fleet breakup is a great idea, their missions is done, but I also think it went on too long.

I think the celebrations should have been used at the end, maybe inserting the Falcon flying overheard into the Coruscant celebration: now the people of the galaxy have heard the good news. It would be nice if we could get a shot of Leia in the Senate, but that might be a bit much.

The thing that bugs me the most is having Han's line be right before the credits. In the end of a Star Wars film the last minute or two is just music, no dialog, before we iris in to the credits.

Another idea building on this: the last shots are of the Coruscant celebration, but seen by Luke and Leia from a balcony on Coruscant, then the Jedi ghosts (rather than earlier on Endor), Leia smiles, Luke joins her, we see the ghosts one final time and iris in.

One small thing, maybe for the wishlist, I always thought Niem Numb was hobbit sized, but anyway seeing him be human-sized really ruins the illusion that he's an alien. Would it be possible to resize him in the Endor celebration?

Thanks for the great words, Angel Blue01!

Yeah I also liked the Ackbar relieved shot :D

The only reason I picked Ackbar to say the lines is because it seemed more possible to actually achieve...I mean, who *wouldn't* want Liea saying something like that? But *how* could we actually do this?

Yes, I also understand about Han's lines inserted right there at the end...yes normally it's just music...but I thought *if* something like this could be achieved (and everyone went for it) it would be worth it to change things up a bit...afterall it's the final movie of the saga!

Yeah, I'm still thinking about the celebrations at the end...I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around what should be done that is not only tasteful but also achievable.

I don't really like the Jedi ghosts on Coruscant idea...mainly because Liea is still in her Ewok clothes...but that's just me.

Thanks again!

Funny, I felt the same way!

He's also in the briefing scene with at least one more Sullustian.

I say to remove these two creepy ladies from the BG

Why should the Empire have the monopoly on non-classically attractive humanoids?

It would be nice to replace some of the bods with Dodonna and Rieekan though and what's going on with Madine's hair (is he running for Queen Of Naboo? Talk about Voice Of The Beehive)?

There is certainly zero glamour in the Rebellion... (not counting Leia of course)

I find mon mothma in PT more sweet and gentle rather ROTJ's one with the non blink eyes.

Maybe we can go with the  idea of putting wookies instead :)

I want more Wookiees other than Chewie! Even some with the taskforce that lands on Endor - it would make perfect sense. :D

They both seem like the same character to me but for some reason Caroline Blakiston (an actress I really like) seemed to be in terror for some of the scene, especially when Ackbar was speaking. I don't know if something can be done to eliminate her Startled By Midgets look (maybe she had spotted the pidgeons that had invited themselves onto the set and were nesting in the roof).

The scared shots could be used during the battle it would be good to see her observing the conflict via the holotable ANH style.

Yeah, I like Caroline Blakiston too. Pity she's slowed down with acting jobs in recent years. Damn, I'm showing my age. Damn, I didn't realise it was her in The Line of Beauty. Must check it again.

Yeah, she does look frightened, but I thought she was trying to convey the weight of the fight ahead of them, which no-one else did. Maybe if other actors had considered conveying some fear, the threat might have sold better.

As it is, she looks terrified while the others look overconfident, which just dulls the threat for me.

Maybe when she says something like "many bothans died to bring us this information" or something similar then maybe we could have few comments or loud whispers, maybe even have admiral ackbar starting his plan ending the whispering or something along those lines.

Since we're on the topic of the rebel meeting: it just ends. There's no sort of May the Force be with you moment where the gravity of the situation is conveyed, except a little on Mothma's comments as Venal pointed out.

This should be a "we have to win this or all is lost" moment.  "It is desperate for us. We got our butts kicked in ESB and now the imperials are chasing us all over the galaxy. This is a huge gamble. Fail and we're finished."

It just doesn't have that gravity.

In the existing film, the rebel fleet just masses near Sullust. Maybe instead the rebels are forced to go there and combine forces because the empire has all but cornered them there? They realise the situation has grown dire and time is short for their side so they have to strike now before the DS2 is completed and the empire dominates forever.

That would up the tension a little. The rebels have to attack now. They've been cornered.

edit

You know what is also missing? Why the empire are such evil basterds. Their ruthlessness. I would love to see some of that come across in this film but I dont know how. Maybe the empire starts completely clearing the forests of Endor for settlement? I don't know.

Regarding ESB:

If I may add a slight change recommendation: When the collapsed AT-AT explodes after the snowspeeder shoots its neck, the debris pieces smashing into the snow, for some reason to me, makes the snow look very fake, and the whole shot look like the model it is.  Any way of touching up on the debris hitting the snow?

This isn't the sort of forum where we talk about touching things up. Especially not Ewoks and young girls. That sort of talk will land your butt in jail.

hey people.

I know and understand that all music is going to be music that is Star Wars and only Star Wars. but I did find an interesting piece of music that fit the DeathStar's Explosion in ROTJ quite well in my opinion.

I mixed it together and although it isnt worth anything, I thought I'd share it with all of you great people :)

That doesn't fit the scene at all. There is no dramatic structure to that piece, not the section you used, at least.

The question is: Why does it explode? :)

I think most people have always believed when the AT-AT collapses its armour is ruptured/fractured and therefore becomes vulnerable to the snowspeeder blasters.
