I just donated a bit, but not just as a result of your post, I promise. :P Hopefully it will be enough- I'm not sure what the conversion rates are at the moment. I only just obtained enough money to spare some. Good luck!

Well yes i do disagree with the dates. All you seem to do lately is whine about how long it is taking and i'm tired of it. Do you know how much of the film is actually finished? No.So how can you possibly know it won't be ready for he May release date? I want this movie done right, not have to rush it just to get it out early to keep you happy.
Yes, there are more things i need to build to replace the original mattes etc but this costs money, a lot of money in fact. I remember you stating that you were willing to donate to the fund, in fact you said you would donate a lot more if another clip was offered. Well i offered more than that last time. I offered a whole workprint copy and an exclusive clip. But guess what:- no sign of anything from you at all. I guess you were all talk and no action. So don't start moaning again about release dates when i can't possibly fund this thing completely by myself, which is what is slowing the whole process down quite considerably. If it wasn't for the kindness of the members here, this project would have probably been scrapped by now.
Actually, Ganamae, who won the workprint, came up with a great idea on what i could offer to help generate the much needed donations. So here it is:
Anyone that donates from today will have a chance to have a cameo in ESB:R. There are a limited amount of places i can insert members, but i need to go through the whole movie to determine the exact amount. So, if there are more donations than places, another draw will take place. But its probably about 20 places to give you some idea. Plus each person that donates will get to see the behind the scenes footage a MONTH before anyone else once the footage is completed.
Won't that mean a fair bit more work for you? We don't mind you taking your time, but I'm sure none of us wants to waste it.

Ok, just so you can all see just how much of the movie is completed here's a screenshot of my vegas workspace
As you can see hell of a lot of it is complete. It's just the lack of funds at the moment that is holding me back
Wow, you really have finished a lot! It's neat that it shows the breakdown like that. (I'm not very familiar with video editing programs. I do wish I could find one that I could cut and paste with, though.)

What do you mean by cut and paste? What type of things do you need the editing program to do?

Well, sort of like how I use Audacity do edit audio, I'd just like to know about a program where I could remove a section and put it somewhere else or insert a new video clip, etc... Something fairly straightforward I could learn a bit with.
To be honest, I don't know why I haven't just asked Davnes or SSWR by now. Just forget to, I suppose. They do lots of nice edits and post them on YouTube. That's the sort of thing I'd like to try someday.

You can do all that with vegas

I was mentioning dates, never once in my last two posts did I complain. And I hadn't posted in over 2 months so it wasn't lately that I was complaining. As for the donating, it's still coming, was cut in pay on my job over 10 percent so money is a bit tighter than I am used to. Also I was expecting a clip I could actually see, not just a chance of seeing a workprint that odds were I would not get to see it.

What if Michael and J.J. made a movie together? They could call it "Seizurefest" or something, cuz it would be one lens flare after another in rapid succession! ;) In fact, since nothing else would be visible, there wouldn't even be any need to hire actors!
Michael Bay stopped hiring actors a long time ago. He hires people like Shia LeBeouf and Megan Fox instead.
Time is running out for the Rebels. Antilles upcourt to Skywalker. He’s being paced by Darth Va— the bone-jarring pick by Solo! He came out of nowhere! Skywalker’s open from way outside, he launches at the buzzer... Good! It’s good! The Rebels win on a sensational buzzer beater by Luke Skywalker! Let’s take another look at that last shot. He just does get it off in time. Wow, what a shot. That’s why they call him Luke Legend.
That may be the most exciting battle I have ever been privileged to broadcast. Certainly the most dramatic finish. We’ll get you an update on the Artoo Detoo injury situation in just a moment. Right now let’s go courtside where SuperShadow is waiting with Chewbacca.

I was talking about your constant whining and sarcastic digs at how long it is going to take to complete. And don't try to tell me you weren't being sarcastic about that because the proof is here:

No one asked about release dates yet you just had to post that. That is the type of thing i am sick of. I'm working my ass off on this edit and rarely have more than 4 hours sleep, sometimes doing about a 48 hours stint to complete a shot. Doing the model and miniature set work on this is the practice i need for when i get to ROTJ:R. The amount of miniature replacement work for that one is a hell of a lot more than i need to do for this one. I'm just one guy, not a studio
Anyway, lets just drop it now. :)
I see you are ready for the Guiness book Ady :D

Great to see your progress so far Ady! You've really come a long way..
Remember don't strain yourself, do it at your own pace, and remember we all cherish your efforts.
Ady thanks for the new pic you gave us under our nose :D:D:D
You fix the basterd!

Cameos, eh? I may be able to convince my wife to donate for that...

I have to say honestly Ady, while I see what you're saying, I think it's a little ugly to point out who's donating and who isn't. I know you were trying to make a point, but I think it brings down your statement.
And for the record I still think that injecting money (even donations and such) can make for a murky scenario, even if handled well.
That bieng said. I'm sure the money that has been , and will be spent (as well as your hard work) will be highlighted greatly when the finished product is seen.
On a lighter note, things seem to be shaping up well. Do what you have to, and take all the time you need. And get some bloody sleep.
Stupid questions:
How do you donate?
Why isn't it a legal issue?

Adywan's PayPal address is in his sig.
Lucas and co seem to be content to let us be as long as we're not attempting to profit. Ady has made it clear that these donations are only donations, that he's not making any profit off them, and that he is not selling the film. I'm pretty sure they know what's going on with Revisited and if they were going to jump down our throats they would have done it by now.

You're obviously getting a lot of satisfaction doing this project, but don't burn yourself out fellah. You seem to have an amazing workrate on this stuff judging by what you've done on all this already, but we wouldn't want you exhausted over it.
It's great that you've ended up doing so many imaginative fixes to this, compared to the 'just a few changes' that were initially thought required when you began. This is going to end up another very special edition indeed.
I reckon you should add Enigma's neat 'It'll be done when it's done, not a moment before' smiley to your signature from hereonin.
That Vader 'helmet neck' is just one of the many appreciated subtle fixes that make this all worth however long it takes. It looks great.
And your plans for ROTJ sound immense.... :) Now put your feet up a little.
How the hell do you work so fast, Adywan? You seem to most of the non-model stuff done already, looking at that screenshot.

Well, he did say he goes on 48-hour work binges sometimes...which is good for productivity, but definitely not health. :S "Let's hope we don't have a burnout."
Sure there is a lot to do, but some could be contracted to others, it's kind of like when they said George should get help with his writing, not do it all on his own. But he insists on doing it all himself. (Although he did have help from Hales & supposedly Stoppard but people still complained.)

But I think ady has help already.Which is a good thing. More experts, can bring better results. Its irrelevant if he composite them at the end alone :)
We need you ady :D

I say "what will happen, will happen"
I understand exactly where Seb32 is coming from, because the kid in me thinks Christmas has just been postponed, because that's what these films feel like: Christmas.
At the same time, while Santa exists as a more general "spirit of giving" type thing, Adrian Sayce is quite real and doesn't have the benefit of elves or mythology to help him out. So Ady, I understand your side and have chosen just to be patient and adult about it, or at least as much as I can... my avatar isn't just a random pic (my general nature and the 2 things I like in life the most).
So on that note, all I can ask is just stop by every so often. You don't have to post images or anything, just a "hi, how's it going? Here's what's up in a general way so far" would be good enough. Regardless, keep up the good work and let us know if you need anything.
Speaking of which, the donation/cameo idea sounds pretty cool; don't know how it can be done, but a good idea all the same. Regardless, if things are hitting the wire like that, I will probably be sending something within the next week or two.
Anyways, keep it up and make sure to check out the "EMPIRE AND JEDI WISHLIST" thread - some really cool stuff over there.

I think they complained more about the final quality of his work more than his supposed auteurism or his time keeping.
Lucas had from 1975 to 2005 to helm 2 really good films and 4 wonky ones.
Ok he did it from scratch but he had a huge team behind him and a lot of money.
Ady has a select group of helpers (and a lot of support from us lot) but is doing most of this on his own to his own deadline and is going through these projects quite swiftly considering the attention to detail and is managing to squeeze in other side projects and a family life too.
Going by what I've seen this will be even more knock-out that the last one.
Though to be honest and I hope Ady doesn't take this the wrong way, I more interested in what he is going to do with the next four , which need much more of a workover.
Hopefully with so much wrong with ROTJ and the PT it would give Ady more room to let his imagination play.
