It's something I've been spending some time preparing to attempt myself (not that I'm really holding out much in the way of promises, I'm no Ady but I will attempt at least a proof of concept).

It's no more hard work than a lot of the proposed changes here, It's certainly a doable thing though as you say hard work.

As for if it's worth doing, that depends on your point of view as I have observed there are plenty of people who just want a basic lick and polish job done on the SE as it currently exists.

Personally I think it is worth it for the added story cohesion.

No doubt.......if it ended up looking good and worked better for the story then I'd be all for it. I might try at least some mock ups on Endor.
