This would be fantastic if found, but I think the quality will always be less than desirable. The Apocalypse Now Book says that the author saw the 5 1/2 rough cut with these legendary scenes on betamax tapes. This was back in 2001 just after Redux hit. (Still hate Redux.) Still something is better than nothing!

Why the hell did they have to split the film onto two discs for the supposedly "complete" dossier? it's almost like having to flip an LD or old flipper DVD. The film does not require 2 discs for bitrate!! Has anyone thought of trying to combine the two halves on one disc?

And what exactly was on that Circuit City exclusive disc? I bought mine there, but never recieved that disc like I was supposed to.
