If you watch closely snippets of this scene were excised where frames showed the guards taking laser blaster hits in their chest that Lucas either viewed as too violent or offensive and thought the film would loose it's appeal to children and concerned adults. By removing these shots he is in essence performing an act on the level of P.C. stupidity of Spielberg's digital removal of FBI agent's guns and insertion of Walkie-Talkies in the ET special edition! Obviously after 20 years of living with and loving the original trilogy we aren't prepared to deal with the kind of intense graphic violence of a firecracker popping on the front of some actors costume!! Next we'll see Spielberg re-release G-rated versions of Schlinder's List and Saving Private Ryan so as not to offend anyone.

George was also speaking on how one loses their humanity with gaining power, and that elements of Episode 3 are about this struggle within Anakin's world.

The boycott is just a tool to show that many of us want the original theatrical cuts as well as the special editions on DVD. It's just a way to counter Jim Ward's idea of commercial dictatorship by narrowing down the choice down to what George Lucas wants us to buy.
For me this has become an issue of how customers are treated by Lucasfilm - not about which version is 'better'.
I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

I hardly noticed that cencorship on the death star. Its the same as the censorship in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Some scenes were censored a bit and I didn't like it but such small unnoticable censorship is not enough to boycott a movie as great as Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Anyone who could deny themselves one of the best movies over a couple missing frames needs to rethink.

Two things. One when baby Herman walks between the ladys dress his fingers have been modified so he no longer pocks her vagina. The other is Jessica Rabbits dress was modified in one scene so you no longer see her ass.
