The scene where Han, Luke, and Chewie are in the detention center and get into a gun battle with the guards. If you watch closely snippets of this scene were excised where frames showed the guards taking laser blaster hits in their chest that Lucas either viewed as too violent or offensive and thought the film would loose it's appeal to children and concerned adults. By removing these shots he is in essence performing an act on the level of P.C. stupidity of Spielberg's digital removal of FBI agent's guns and insertion of Walkie-Talkies in the ET special edition! Obviously after 20 years of living with and loving the original trilogy we aren't prepared to deal with the kind of intense graphic violence of a firecracker popping on the front of some actors costume!! Next we'll see Spielberg re-release G-rated versions of Schlinder's List and Saving Private Ryan so as not to offend anyone.
The most obvious one is the death of the officer who's trying to grab his gun from the desk, but is hit before he can get it.
