Original audio stems means going back to the original recorded tracks prior to mastering. Burtt says they will have to rerecord something like a minute and a half of sound effects that were lost, but what this really means is that we will get truly digitally remastered audio that will take the fullest possible advantage of dynamic range and frequency response.
