Hmm, I have never actually heard of a troll pitting forum members against each other. That would be a very clever troll, and most trolls seem to be bored 12 year olds with nothing better to do.

I have always (okay, sometimes) seen trolls as blessings in disguise, bringing forum members closer, bringing them together in a common bond as they join forces to defend their web forum of choice in brotherly unity...er, something to that extent anyway.
