Hmm, I think you missed the point of the discussion EyeShotFirst.
The problem isn't that they dislike the game and wish it wasn't being rereleased, the problem is that they already bought and own the game and the rerelease has exclusive extra levels on it that can only be obtained via this new edition, which means they don't get to play it unless they shed another $40 dollars on top of what they already paid for the original and its DLC. The decent thing for LucasArts to have done would have been to release the extra level as DLC and allow those who already gave them their money for the game to pay a little extra for the new DLC (which is the norm) rather than making them repurchase just for the one level.
So just not playing it wouldn't help, since playing it is exactly what they want to do. This would be more like a PT fan really wanting to buy ROTS on DVD, but LFL only offering it in an exclusive boxed set containing TPM and AOTC as well, meaning to own ROTS you'd have to buy the first two all over again.
