So I've been using Pinnacle for editing for several months now, yet it always seems to find new ways to torment me that it had never once hinted at before. This time I was making an extremely simple video, yet some AVI files I imported from YouTube are being uncooperative. I've never had this happen before. Sometimes, they'll play in my timeline perfectly, but most of the time when these clips come up, the viewer window will just become solid green. The audio will play just fine, but the video will be replaced by this green screen. And sometimes it will just taunt me. It'll play perfectly fine in edit mode, but as soon as I switch over to file conversion it'll still play back as green screen, even as it continues to play fine in edit mode. Does anybody have any idea what the deal with this is? Please?!
