There's actually no problem with that shot. Look at it in slow motion and you see that Luke swings his saber then the first few frames he is still swinging it and Vader blocks it. Vaders is on the left and Lukes on the right.

Is it just me, or does Luke's saber in the 2nd frame look too short, too skinny, and too bent?
