I'd say the best now is the g-force/dark_jedi GOUT-sourced anamorphic trilogy that uses the image stabilization/anti-aliasing scripts.

I'm also kind of a fan of OCP's Classic Editions (they use the 2004 DVDs and a LD transfer to replace all the SE material). They're imperfect, but the idea of them is great. I hope someday someone fully realizes the idea by doing a 2004 DVD/GOUT hybrid (maybe using the g-force/dark_jedi GOUT project).

Frankly, I wouldn't bother with any of the LD transfers at this point (except maybe Arnie.d's V8/X9 transfer of the Japanese Special Collection that's in the works). The GOUT really kind of made all the DC/Faces LD transfers obsolete, IMO.

The G-Force/Dark Jedi transfer, is that the one based on the Japanese LDs, or is it based on the 1993s?

{.............}

 Plus, looking at the screenshot page, some of those preservations look a lot sharper than GOUT.

Here's more info (+ screenshots) of the g-force stabilization project. It's sourced from the GOUT, not LD:

No, the features on the '93 LD set have never been re-issued. There are some preservations of them, though. Rowman's bonus discs are one, Dr. Gonzo's Supplemental disc is another, there may be others.

Have you checked the Official DVD Index here?

Which screenshot page are you referring to? I honestly don't see any LD transfers that look sharper than the GOUT (more saturated, maybe).

Yeah, the Official DVD Index is the source of the largest part of my "Looking for" signature, and my list of preservations that I'm interested in. But there are, of course, many projects which aren't on the index, because of fanedits.com (which, for some reason, has far less than the Index.)

Maybe "sharper" wasn't the word I wanted. I'm careless with language sometimes, especially when it comes to this sort of thing. Maybe "better," or "better to me," was more where I was going with that. Less noise on some of them.
