That's a really good idea - some of the best professional commentaries are basically just focused conversations, and flow really nicely because there's someone else there to continually provoke comment and discussion.
With this project being a somewhat one-man operation it might be hard to include an actual collaborator, but someone sufficiently well-versed in the alternate versions would be ideal for asking the right questions...
