These projects aren't just edits.
They are deconstructions and reconstructions of the original films with brand new elements of sound and vision and that is really, really hardwork.
This I agree with you, Bingowings, and as an experience editor myself. Take my vid on YouTube, "Alternate Anakins." I did more than just put one layer on top of another.
I started by cropping Obi-Wan and Yoda from one layer, then I had to sync up the two images of Anakin so that one would transition smoothly into the other. In additon, the cropped line had to be well hidden so it was not obvious. But it wasn't a finished project there. I also had to get both layers of footage to match in level, brightness, saturation and color, and they had to match perfectly. All of this was done in Adobe Premiere Pro, and it took a couple of hours to accomplish.
