I got the Widescreen Limited Edition DVDs with the Theatrical cuts included, and my copy of A New Hope skips in the middle of one of Moff Tarkin's sentences to a shot of the Millennium Falcon in hyperspace. I already exchanged the DVD and the new copy has the same problem.
Has anyone else had the same problem? Or am I just really unlucky?

That's not a skip. That's where the layer change occurs. Some players can read it better than others. There's nothing wrong with the disc, that's just the way it is. Sorry.

I ran into the same issue with some of my discs on a ps2. At least we don't have to flip the discs anymore!

Not a problem! Most of my DVD players are pretty old, so I'm used to it. But when I play it on my new computer, it makes the switch seamlessly, which is pretty refreshing.
