my point is, if ID had trailers out already and kickass editing done for those trailers, just trying to figure out how you jumped in there and he shut his down. if he lost work due to a cpu crash, i understand, that sucks. however in 2 yrs, and the best we can get is a shotty ruff draft from you, then i would assume, maybe you bit off more than you could chew?

again, no offense, just making the case, if you volunteerd to continue his work but with a twist, and after 2 years, i would have let him redo his, if he felt like it, because i'm sure in 2 years time, he may had enough push to start again and be done by now.

Here's the thing though, you haven't even watched the edit and you are making assumptions. I said I'd do a trailer once I was finished the edit. I want to work off of one file for the edit as opposed to scavenging through three movies to make one 2 minute clip. If you want to tell me I can't do it, fine whatever but please don't if you haven't even watched the rough copy. The rough copy is there so you can get an idea at what I'm going for based on story, editing and style. The quality is there to act as a reminder that it isn't the final draft. The final draft will be in High Quality and 5.1 Surround sound. And me doing this edit does not mean ID can't do his. I was waiting and waiting and it was taking a long time because I'm sure they both have lives. I haven't been too busy in the last year so I figured I would try my own take.
