Most of the audiophiles who know used high end equipment to demodulate and decode it. Dvd is another story because its all digital and dont change much from one player to another leaving little room for difference. It is the same story with mission impossible wich i checked myself, the laserdisc got more of a cinema feel to it. Lack of reauthoring and compressing the tracks again for dvd is the likely culprit.
