Alright, I've finished my first pass through the film.  There are still chunks missing, and I still have to watch the Battle of Yavin in its entirety to make sure it still flows properly - there's a lot different about it in Revisited and the SE, and while I wanted to keep the more epic feel that Adywan gave to it, I felt that the middle section, with the new TIE reveal, dragged a bit.  So I cut it together using a combination of Revisted and the AVCHD to more or less match the original edit of the battle.

However, due to the addition of a lot of lasers and such for Revisited, the battle switches back and forth between using the mono mix and Revisited's audio quite a bit.  I don't think it's noticeable, but like I said, I haven't watched it again.

There's also the opening crawl and end credits that still need to be (re)done, and there are a lot of holes throughout that need to be replaced with DJ's GOUT when it comes in the mail (and I need to redo the opening Tantive IV battle with the AVCHD so the lasers don't bounce back and forth between the original and Revisited).

But I can see this being finished by August.  Don't hold me to that, as I've also got to do the DVD menus and such, but it looks like that might be feasible.

I'll post a Battle of Yavin clip soon.

--edit--

Just got DJ's GOUT in the mail - looks like I'm in the home stretch for Star Wars now!
