I just got to the Ben/Vader duel.  Man, Ady really cut this scene up - that's not a bad thing, I actually really like his edit.  In fact, does anyone here know for sure whether the "Purist" Version of ANH:R uses the same cut of the duel that the DVD-9 Revisited does, or does it revert to the original cut?  If so, I'll probably just downmix the "Purist" Version's audio to mono (to remove the prequel music from the DVD-9), try to get it to gel with the rest of the mono mix, and use the DVD-9 video, keeping his edit of the duel (minus the ending where Ben is killed, which has already been reverted to the original cut).  Watching the original now ... well, frankly, it's kinda boring, though I really hate to say that.

One thing I've already changed (well, changed back, rather) is the way Ben and Vader meet - Vader's lightsaber is already on, as in the original cut (accomplished by using the AVCHD), and Ben lights his lightsaber after seeing Vader (currently using the AVCHD as well, but I might try to use Revisited here to keep that awful jump cut out).  I never liked Ady's change of having Ben light his 'saber as soon as he sees an apparently-unarmed Vader - and I love the idea that Vader knew Ben was coming and was ready for him, lightsaber and all.

I'm kind of on the fence about whether to use the 1977 "dead end" scene with Han, or the 1997 "hangar full of stormtroopers" scene, which, thanks to Ady, does look a lot better now ... I'll probably end up using the "dead end" as soon as Dark_Jedi's GOUT comes in the mail (right now the quality drop is just too noticeable).
