ChainsawAsh said:If anyone has DarkJedi's ESB Standard Play and ROTJ "First Issues" discs, could you send me a PM and work out a trade or something? Those are the LDs that have the original theatrical mixes of each of those films (at least, as far as I can tell) and they're not time-compressed like the ANH/ESB Extended Play discs are (the "First Issue" discs of those).
I realised as part of hacking together this mega-thread that the main web-site resource I used to help out with sourcing the Dark Jedi preservations - davisdvd.com - shut down over 3 years ago. However, using the magic of Google and a site called web.archive.org I found it again and the links are below

So, to answer ChainsawAsh, both the Ep4 and 5 Standard play laserdiscs were the first laserdisc releases that were not time compressed and also the last release which had the original theatrical soundtracks prior to the 1985 DigitalSound re-mastering.
From what I can make out, the Ep6 audio on the First Issue is the same as that used right up to the remastering for the Definitive Collection ie, the First Issue, the Special Widescreen Edition, the Japanese Special Collection and 1992 Pan and Scan
