whoa, Triple post....

Hey who did Jar Jar's new voice again?  The lower class British accent version?  The more I hear it the more I like it, and I think rerecording it could be very simple.  The problems I'm hearing now I think are because the mic line is too high, so its catching the hum of the computer and what-not.  the mic recording level needs to be greatly diminished and actor proximity increased.  I think we'll get a clean recording that way.  I'm sorry if this was already discussed, but whoever our Jar Jar is, try getting together a sample with the recording level down and closer proximity.

And alright Josh....MAAAAYBE I'll break out the cantina scene for you guys, but this week's been my first chance to give much more than a passing glance at the edit.  Maybe I'll snag it for you.

We're in desperate need for some ambient noise in some of the indoor coruscant scenes.  The trouble I'm having is I don't know where I could get a decent aeriel traffic loop for a sci fi movie.  I was thinking the fifth element, but I don't have it on dvd, anyone have access to the isolated rear channels of the fifth element during some of the outdoor traffic scenes for an ambient loop?

Finaly some life has been re-started, I was wondering were you were lol. I WANT the cantina clip lol that would great if you could do that when times dictates, thanks, many would appreciate that, It may be hard for some to remember what an amazing edit this is.

But sorry, I have no knowlage of the Jar Jar voice or city sound, hopefuly someone will help you with that.

Hi Paul,

This weekend I will have plenty of time and I will look in my contacts and get back in touch with the Jar-Jar actor.  I think the acting itself was pretty good, it's just that the recording sounds pretty airy .

This weekend I will also fire up the project again on my end, and then I'll be able to answer the questions in your PM and send more files if needed.  

Hopefully I will be able to send you the rest of the blue lightsaber shots to plug in as well.  The next few months should be lighter for me....

Again, I just want to reiterate how grateful I am that Paul is giving me a hand on this thing.  Please don't hound him about timeframe.  This movie is a monster (especially the way I organized it in the project files, which is very messy), and it's enough to overwhelm anybody.  Knowing this, Paul took on the audio to the project, and for that I'm so grateful.  

As I said, whatever problems that come up that Paul has trouble with, I will deal with, and if I can't do it, I will find the person who can.

We WILL finish this, darn it.

5 years in the making, ? to go....

No, I first came up with the idea 4 years ago, and the last 2 years it's been stagnating because of my schedule.  Now, with Paul on the job, a few new FX shots from Adywan, and etc. it is moving again, but Paul has a life too and some weeks will be slow.

But think of it like this: we wouldn't still be sinking time into this if it wasn't good.  I think the movie is good.  Even in the rough cut, I can actually make it all the way through Episode II now and actually enjoy it....

Well, from what I recall, there are just far to many changes to even make a list. It's that extensive. I really believe the turd will shine!

By the way, PaulisDead2221, since you're talking about re-recordings, I was the one who did the voice of Lama Su, in case you need that (or hell, anything else for that matter) re-recorded. Now I'm in university and there's a nice media library with some high quality mics I could use if need be. Hell, I could probably ask one of the film professors if there's somewhere I could record voice-overs.

Just for the record though, I was 17 when I recorded that Lama Su dialogue. I'm 20 now, and smoked about a pack a day for about a year and a half in between, so my voice sounds a little different now than it did then. :P

Ya, that was a test edit in the prequal redux thead. Tropperman edit, has changed music, re edited so that ani quickly kills the bugs before they can even fire a shot. Color correction, (of course the re dubbed voice.) When the metal arm hits anakin, its because hes distracted by padmas scream. And artoo coming to the rescue is a surprise, and no C 3p0 side plot. And aside from that I can't remmeber.

SSWR, It does feel more like the OT ;] But so does troopermans, I want you guys to see the cantina clip, becasue some of you were not around to see it, and I know it would get you excited to see this, well maybe not as excited as me :]

Yeah, this was pretty impressive... SSWR, if you're reading this; how did you swap out the music tracks successfully while maintaining voice, and sound effects?

 

He cut 3p0 and R2 out.... HUGE difference.

As far as the vocals go...I think everything I used in that scene didn't actually *have* music underneath. Or if any of it did it wasn't very prominant so it just blended into the music I added.

Just wondering if you are still alive lol. I don't stop thinking of this project. If you see this please trooperman or paul, upload the cantina clip, alot of people were not around to see it, and it would re promote interest.

it's still a very nice scene with atmosphere^^

But now after having some people talk so much about color correction in the prequel radical redux thread,

the yellow tint of the scene sticks out...

That was great! Very well done, audio-wise. I liked the tint and I know that stuff like the lightsaber could certainly be fixed, but that really doesn't matter for the time being.

Zomg! THAK YOU. Although I thought it would be a download but whatever lol. There are some new additions since the last time I saw it, like that weird alien smoking, wheres that from, not from blade runner. Ya, if this baby had its color correction refined, it would be amazing.
