I'm sorry but I'm not totally convinced of that yet.
If an edit *can* seperate the Anakin character from the Vader character (which, by the way, will be no small feat) then when you come to ANH and Obi says "A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who a pupil of mine until he turned to evil, helped the emperor hunt down and destroyed the Jedi knights...he betrayed and murdered your father." it simply sounds like Obi-wan is lying to Luke about his father. Luke doesn't know anything about the force, Jedi, Sith or Darth Vader so Obi-wan can get away with this "lie". And then once we get to ESB and ROTJ we learned that Obi-wan was telling Luke this from a certain point of view to protect Luke and to help him learn and grow up as well. At least that's how I see it.
The only thing that bothers me is why would Obi-wan say that Darth Vader was once a pupil of his? Unless....this could be addressed in the PT...? :D
