Luke30, I don't have any problem with him releasing the SE's at any time. Nor do I think anyone else here does. The problem is that he is implying that he will -not- release the original version. In relation to a boycott, if it was going to be effective something would need to be organised before the release of the SE's. Maybe a petition wherein any who signed it would pledge not to buy them unless the original was going to be released at some stage or something like that. Otherwise it just wouldn't happen.
