please be more specific.

is it worth taking to a preservationist the aforementioned 16mm trailer of 'raiders of the lost ark'.

or is it something that is not needed, and then i can scan it, convert to video, etc, without

worrying about messing up something historical..

This is a 16mm cinemascope film clip from the film, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK (1981), which fills up a 400 foot reel. The footage is from the end of the film, beginning with Indy and Marion tied up and the Ark about to be unopened. The clip runs through the end credits – so, yes, it has the melting faces. The footage is a scope dupe, apparently taken from two different prints. The first part is nice color, with rich blue tones. This footage lasts until the Ark ghosties appear and begin to get nasty. The last part appears to be Eastmancolor, with the expected reds apparent. It is otherwise in nice shape.

Please note that the photos shown are taken without the anamorphic scope lens, so the images are squeezed.

Hello to all,

I am new here and have been reading the past posts on the Indiana Jone project and must say I am extremely interested in seeing this. I have had the making of Raiders and Great Movie Stunts on VHS and an extremely poor quality copy of the Making of TOD. Is there any way that an average joe like myself could get access to these. As a newbie I realize I have little to no power, but I am always helpful in the realm of seeding and so one from other networks.

Thanks for having me here and I hope I can help make this an active and exciting forum!

Congratulations for your project! (read it all just today) It's incredible!

But how can I get that material?

Thanks!

Is anyone still seeding the Making of Raiders/TOD/Crusade and great stunts materials? My searches have come up empty. I used to have some of it but had a HDD crash a while back and lost what I had.

Thanks,

Rook

I will be re-doing my discs for those documentaries.  I did newer captures (from the laserdiscs) and I'll be putting extra material on there to fill out the dual-layer discs.

Just as a reminder. Scanned the Making of Raiders of the Lost Ark,
and Great movie stunts both from 16mm. At some point, when they’re ready for
release, I can post more details.

There is a 4k Raiders project starting also.
The starwarstrilogy forum has some information.

Please consider contributing for upgrades to
do this project.

sure, on bluray.
some laserdisc or tv things on the spleen.

There’s nothing new, though. And that’s what Indy3 was asking about.
