It's truly hard to tell if it was or wasn't meant to be funny; after all, we're dealing with screenwriter Daniel Waters, who also wrote Heathers and Hudson Hawk, not to mention The Adventures of Ford Fairlane: "Neal and Bob; are those your names, or is that just what you do?"

I already bought Hudson Hawk the second it came out. Alternate cover and everything. Waiting for Buckaroo Banzai to make it to the discounts. And, crossing my fingers here, maybe the one disc of Big Trouble in Little China.
