Just need to paint out the underbelly of the Star Destroyer seen looking out the docking bay, and also make the bay door frame more square.

But I'd day most people like the sight of Vader coming down the ramp looking Str8 up at him as it already is , he looks more imposing that way. But I love the ESB SE docking bay shot of the ship coming in and landing.

I did mention that many of the shots in the trailer either didn't have some FX layers enabled to save rendering time or were unfinished. the trench being one of them.

Finished trench:

Dude, this looks freaking awesome. You're already putting the 2004 DVD to shame.

ANHR alone puts the whole saga dvd collection to shame. Take that george lucas.

But I gotta give george lucas kudos for changing his mind about a Mutt Williams and the ancient Indy movie.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

What did he change his mind about?

He was gonna make Indiana Jones 5's story be. Indiana Jones taking over Heny Sr.'s job as the old dad and make it Mutts adventure. But he changed his mind and is making one more. I am going to give it a chance knowing that the whole series of movies has a few hit and misses so maybe it will be good.

Just a quickie here. A few people have asked me about the difference in picture quality between the 2004 DVD's and the 720p version of Revisited. I'm really surprised that some people are saying that there isn't a noticeable difference between an upscaled DVD and a 720p video and that i am wasting my time doing this in 720p when an upscaled DVD would look the same and it would take me less time to go back to working with DVD res.

Well here is a snapshot showing the difference. The DVD has been upscaled to 720p using a high quality upscaler. Now tell me that an upscaled DVD looks as good as HD. If you do you need to go to specsavers. lol

Wow...that's a serious difference....and it's not even 1080!

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.

No. That was never his intention, that was just the big rumor that started when people found about Mutt. He's stated already that he'd never do an Indy movie starring Mutt as that wouldn't be an Indy movie at all.

Anyway, that new trench shot looks great Ady. The final release can't come quick enough. =)

You're not wasting your time, Ady.  Someone who uses his free time to create -- or in your case, perfect -- something is not wasting his time.

When I looked at the progress of ANH:R about a year and a half ago I knew that Ady was gonna blow the original 2004 ANH DVD out of the water.

What I really should have said was 'you're continuing to beat the crap out of the 2004 TESB DVD'   :D

The two things I found most distracting/annoying about ANH:R were

-Additional Wilhelm screams. That scream takes me right out of the movie because it is heard EVERYWHERE and is not unique to Star Wars. In fact I was hoping it would be removed when Chewie throws the Storm Trooper off the carbon freezing deck.

-Overly bright/colorful laser blasts. Just because they are in the PT like that doesn't mean they work in the OT. Consistency for the sake of consistency is not always the best idea.

I am hoping these two aspects will be dropped for ESB:R, as they made ANH:R unenjoyable to watch at times.

well sorry to tell you but Adywan is going to do what he wants to do. Nobody will change his mind. I like the new laserblasts. The old ones were to flat. They just didnt look like Light.

^ I doubt ady would create an inconsistency within his own Revisited saga by not giving the lasers the same treatment as he did in ANH:R.

That said, I too love the way the OT laser bolts look.  For years I felt they held up as the most believeable-looking lasers in film.

I'm not saying they should not be re-colored, just not as overly re-colored.

thats a trademark of Ben Burtt. Without them it is not Star Wars.

I hope that Ady removes Mark's arm-tummy in all the shots where it can be seen, I know that it's being tucked for the end of the duel.
