That is a huge improvement, but (don't you hate that word), unless I'm seeing this wrong, shouldn't there be less shadow on the turret? Judging by the snow the sun should be somewhere left of your (the viewer's) head. Yet here the background's sun is still behind the turret instead of in front, though this time on the correct (left) side.

He's not going to be able to fix the sun direction in most of the wrong shots during the battle, why not start messing with the sun right at the beginning? LOL

Hoth could have multiple (but distant enough to keep the planet cold) suns, ala the movie Pitch Black... but adding another sun or two would be more hassle than it's worth I would think.
