I agree that there is a bit of washout, but overall, nice choices on the colors themselves. Anything to make them more natural!

No idea what people are talking about as far as black 'blobs.' I can only assume it is now fixed.

Black shits are still there!

here is my try...

there is no flames in the engines in OT!!!

i dont know how ady will manage to eliminate this orange.

probably he will replace this poor Cgi with PROPS!

And i will concur!

EDIT: I was wrong :P

I dont see any black blobs really. I must be blind. My source was a screencap site seeing as I have the prequels only on VHS.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

You probably are. Or your monitor isn't calibrated.

No offense to EyeShotFirst...and to the others that like those color 'corrections'...but those shots are supposed to be redish - They take place late/early in the day**.

Now, I'm not saying it's totally bad...it's just that people are getting kind of over sensitive to the 'redness', and now want it ALL removed...even when it makes sense.

** I know the last shot is of the city at night. In that shot, it's supposed to look like Las Vegas...and your 'correction' makes the city look boring.

...Now, let the backlash begin!  :P

Yes you are right. but if you see the color sliders you will see that there is no color than red and some yellow.

Even in artistic pictures or fancy sunsets there is always some hidden color.

Either way the scene is bad as it looks. with CGI like a tv series quality and colors like early videogames.

Well, except for when the Falcon charges at the Star Destroyer. I've always thought that looks a bit odd.

Yes true. I didnt include it because it looked like painted animation, not like a flame animation.

I think ady can do something :)

EDIT: fuck it, i was right. the buildings stays the same only some of the SDs are changing angle when they take off between the shots :O

I think we'd love to see your go at it, too, even if it's just a still shot. I think it might look a bit better with an effect sort of like when the Enterprise goes to warp on ST:TNG; that flash of light that indicates it's powering up a lot. Something like that.

Nice job on the recolours there. Would it be possible to apply those effects to some actual footage?

That's what Adywan's been doing for the past couple of years. Of course it's possible!

I've never seen the New Groove movie (or have I?) so I didn't really "get" it, but it was funny nonetheless. :)

I'm toying with the idea of recolouring Qui-Gon's lightsabre to yellow. To make him more of a Jedi Sentinel type character that I feel would go along better with the Qui-Gon I've created in my edit. Thoughts?

I still firmly believe that every Jedi should have a blue lightsaber, with the sole exception of Luke in ROTJ.

But I love the idea of a purple lightsaber for Dooku - it's a mix of red (evil) and blue (good), and Dooku can easily be tailored to be a very ambiguous character (namely, a good guy that we think is a bad guy until it's far too late).

I thiiiiink I may have. Something about a couple of guys/animals that steal something? And they're in Egypt? Hmm... Well, I'll have to watch it again for the first time. :)

And MAN, that new video is hilarious! Great job! :D Poor Lando...

In the Battle for Naboo, perhaps the Naboo could piloting X-Wings, or early Y-Wings, in pristine condition instead of the curvy things they have in the cut we have now. And also, maybe a few shots of the Millenium Falcon wouldn't go astray. Perhaps have it somewhere in Episode II, being used by Clone Troopers.

I wouldn't mind seeing xwing prototypes in the prequels. They could show several millenium falcons only slightly different because han modified his. The ships are like cars they sell more than one of each model. So there should at least be hundreds in the galaxy. If someone could make a millenium falcon that doesnt look like a piece of junk then it would make logical sense. Han was basically flying a muscle car that had been fixed up enough to drive. It would have been clean and shiney in the PT era.

Republic era Millenium Falcon...

If someone could make either a 3D model of this, or an actual model, then it could be used for a scene or two.

Also, I might add, I'd like to see the shots of the stars streaking past the windows of the ships from the OT, put back into the PT.
