It might be nice if when the OT:R is finished if someone made a PDF Collector's Edition (as in the magazine format books that used to come out with the movies) style booklet which could be printed off at home, explaining the project and with some behind the scenes material and some mock-ups of ideas used and not used to mark the half way point of this mammoth undertaking.

And then do another one when the PT:R is finished in the space year umpty thrumpty.

It would make a nice companion piece to the final set beyond what might be on a DVD (or whatever format we will be viewing things on in that far off future world).

I still have my original Star Wars Collection Edition booklets for the OT (the Star Wars one my dad got for me in cinema when we came out from seeing the film might still have particles of choc ice on it).

Hi Ady

Could you PM me a link for the PAL DVD-9 of ANH: Revisited? (Not the purist version btw). Oh and I'd like to confirm whether it's widescreen like all of the Official DVDs. Thanks dude.

Oh, cool :)

It's just that the xvid copy that I downloaded ages ago was fullscreen for some reason.

That's odd, because the official XVID is widescreen also.  Perhaps whatever you were watching it on compressed it.  I've had that problem trying to encode my own XVIDs.

That's probably it. Thanks for clearing that up. I've actually had the same problem with an edited version of Batman Forever, but I managed to burn that xvid onto a DVD+RW and it was widescreen on my HDTV. Do you reckon it would be safe for me to just burn the SWRevisited xvid onto a blank DVD+RW? Or does that sound plain dumb?

It wouldn't be worth it as the XVID i released was more like a "workprint" and the DVD-9's have the finished version of the movie with many changes over the XVID

Ok. I'll have to take Ady's advice about where to find the PAL DVD9, he PM'd me about it being unavailable on Rapidshare, so I'll have to try elsewhere.

Thanks anyway :)

Edit - Oh wait, you are Ady, I thought I was replying to double0five again, lol. :D

So anyway Ady, I will take the advice u gave me in the PM u sent to me.

I wish you all the best on TESB dude :)

i'm a huge star wars fan and want all the bells and whistles but without the wait time of a week lol

At 7GB those aren't the files you're looking for.... (possibly)

That sounds more like the AVCHD version to me.

The biggest ANH:R file I can see on the forementioned location is the DV5 NTSC coming in at a slightly more managable 4.36GB.

Um, the DVD-9 is around 7-8 GB.  That's why it's a DVD-9.  I don't know the size of the PAL version, but my NTSC DVD-9 of Revisited is 7.6 GB.

I know Ash but as far as I can tell it's not up on Miniha-ha at the moment unless I'm digging in the wrong place.

The NTSC DVD-9 is up on Mininova, and a DVD-5 is as well, though I can't tell if it's NTSC or PAL.  There's also quite a few different AVI/MP4 versions up.

I don't think there's a PAL version online anywhere, really.

Will someone link me to the revised Adywan edits?

I just finished the weeklong download of the dvd9 avchd version and, well, quite a few of the edits listed on page one simply aren't there.

bleeding arm; lucas' 3d jaba scene still there; no medal for chewie; spindly light sabers in DV/OWK final duel... etc.

It almost seems that this is the 2004 lucas edit version with a color correction?

With 290 pages to search, some help understanding this would be appreciated.

You may be exactly right- Ady released a set of color corrected HD SE cuts. Those have no changes, but are merely color corrected, which is what it sounds like you have. I would attempt to redirect to a correct link, but these guys can do it better than I can. :P
