By the way any change to open a bit the landscape of the dagobah? I know you like the close feel it has and i agree with you. Just only to eliminate the stage look and look more alien and natural in the long shots. Only subtle things( remember my mockups if you wish)

And dagobah, i prefer it the way it is. i don't feel that the landscape needs to be opened up at all as the enclosed look gives the planet a bit of eeriness and mystery.

I think what Vaderios is getting at is the set scenes mostly, in how some of the shots come across "as a set".  I wouldn't want to see anything radically changed, but things like the area behind the X-wing when it starts to sink, if we could actually see a bit of the path it took behind it, or say in the scene right after Luke crashes and we see the overall swamp area if there could be some added vines in the upper right as well as maybe a slight fog layer to explain how Luke could have crashed when in that shot it is clear enough to see the entire forest area.  Also, maybe just some slight touching up in the rear areas of the live-action set scenes - just anything to get rid of any of that "Hello, I'm Tim Burton and this is my set" look (not that I can recall any of the Dagobah sets looking THAT bad).  Even so, it's no biggie - it's not like we're talking about the stick knocking down the AT-AT or anything...

I would just like to bring this one back up.

Ady, will you be adding any saber marks for this shot? I figure since Luke swings across the surface, rather than stabbing the door lock, that it seems logical to see where Luke's saber touched the surface. Thoughts?

Luke had cut the latch and there is no real place to add any burn marks. i may add a faint heat glow on each section of the latch but that's about it

Ehh, I understand where you're coming from Ady, but it IS a lightsabre not a lockpick... not to mention, when Luke swings that thing, does the FX of the blade go through any of the metal around the door?  Besides, isn't it convenient for Luke that he shoots up a grappling hook into the belly of the AT-AT and just so happen to have a latched door right above him?  >:)

At the same time, re-doing the FX to show him slicing open the AT-AT belly, putting in the glow and everything else would mean more waiting.

Still, I think I would prefer Luke MAKING an opening rather than lucking (or "luking"?) out and "opening a door".

Even so, if you keep the door, could you add a snow trooper looking out (goes to check it out to see why it opens, looks out and sees Luke, "Holy crap!  There's a man underneath of us!  Hmm, how did he get there, and why would he be there?".. as you see the bomb get thrown in behind him as he's rubbing his chin thinking...)

no updates on the progress i'm afraid. there are a few things going on in my life at the moment, and my health isn't too good either, that is preventing me from starting on the models. Hopefully it won't be long before i can start though.

Sorry about all of that stuff... I feel your pain here.  When I was working on my Fine Arts degree in Photography I think I spent a good 50 hours without sleep in a darkroom trying to get some 14x20 color prints to color correct "correctly".  That's 50 hours, not eating, in almost pitch-black darkness and with chemicals... that was not enjoyable.
