21. Flipping the shot of the saber cutting open the taun Taun because its hind legs are the wrong side of the frame.
Just checking out the updated list on page 1. I think there's a problem in flipping the shot discussed above...
We see Han preparing to slice from (his) left to right, which is consistent in the following shot of the tauntaun's belly being cut. However, if the shot gets flipped, the saber will be going from in the wrong direction on the next shot, no?
Unless you have a way of eliminating the saber from the shot ady, might I suggest that, if you still want to flip it, you simply zoom in to avoid seeing whatever it is we're seeing to the right of the frame? (I'm assuming this is the tauntaun's leg, which I assume you're assuming as well, hence why you want to flip the shot in the first place).
Boy, that's a lot of assumptions...
Oh, and by the way, sorry to hear you're not doing well at the moment ady... I hope you feel better soon, and that it's nothing too serious.
have a look at the first shot of han you posted. Look at the emblem on his coat and you will see that its a flipped shot, so flipping that first shot and the taun taun and the sabers are all in the correct direction

I have checked this shot frame by frame and there are no missing frames. What looks unnatural to the eye is that because the shot was originally slower there is no motion blur on the gun when there should be.
Interesting! I always thought maybe it was stop-motion animated, for whatever reason there would be for doing such a thing. Is there a way of making it slower without actually making it slower, if you know what I mean?
As for the explosion immediately after, could some extra little explosion or something help to hide some of the hidden frames?
I also agree about the PT sabers. To me, there's a little too much sharp separation of white and color, and why would they have sharp tips like a real sword? They're just beams of energy. I dunno, I still think the ones in ESB are the best.
that's one part i can't agree with the pt lightsabers are fine the way they are. the only thing that needs to be changed in windu's lightsaber color.
The sabers in the PT look more fake than the OT ones. This weapon is giving off a coloured glow and the core is supposed to be bright, but there is no gradient of the glow which is totally artificial. they got the sabers right in the OT

Or he could have surrounded himself with TPM only ships, would have been fine. Queen's Starship, droid control ship, etc.
THe main reason minature sets were build, like the GEONOSIS arena is he wanted more exotic looking enviroments, not to be Earth bound by forrests, Snow, or desert only. What would be the sense in building the entire Geonosis arena in full scale? Read Sculpting a Galaxy, you'll see how many miniatures were built physically.
I have sculpting a galaxy so i do know what i am talking about. There were not a few ships built for AOTC .. there were none. The only ships that were built were to enable the CG artists to create the 3D models. No physical models were used for ships in AOTC and especially ROTS
