Got my copy and, whilst I can see why this wasn't particularly well received by the Cannes audience, it was a fascinating viewing experience in terms of seeing the evolution of the film. I also got to hear Kelly's commentary track for the film for the first time on the same day as watching this so that was cool. I've got to say that the quality of this release was top-notch so kudos to those involved in that side of things.

In terms of changes the one that struck me as the most obvious was the narration. It sounds totally different in this version: kind of weak and more than a little hammy (the last line in particular is delivered in a strange, 'soap-opera-acting' manner). Just out of interest does anyone know if this is identical to the Cannes version in every way? I ask because I remember reading that the version shown there had no effects or minimal effects whereas this version looked fairly finished to me. Is this a remake following the intial edit in terms of running time, scenes, etcetera but with completed effect shots in place of the alleged Cannes-screening temp effect shots?

Anyway, thanks to everyone involved with this project, from instigation to realisation, and a special thank you to dark_jedi for helping me out.
