All his original files from the project were deleted.
If he wanted to get rid of the continuity problems (between an ep 3 edit where anakin "dies" and vader isn't mentioned) then he would have to remove any references in New Hope of Vader being Obi Wan's pupil.
I like the way that in ROTS you will leave with a question what anakin became. In ANH we see vader to have a concetion with obi burger Kenobi and in ESB is the revelation.

It can, but there are still references to Vader being Obi Wan's pupil in A New Hope, which makes it obvious straight away that vader is anakin (to people who've watched the saga in chronological order and know very well that Anakin was his only pupil)
EDIT: It would also mean cutting "when I left you, I was but the learner. Now I am the master". SACRELIGIOUS!
Now if only there was a way of giving Obi Wan a pupil that was a complete asshole.

Now this is utterly RADICAL but this is what this thread is all about.
Retain Hayden's fall, just make him a different person. i.e. not Anakin. Remove the chosen one aspect, and remove Padme having babies.
That way, he's still Obi Wan's student, but assumed to have become Darth Vader. Then it is revealed in Empire that its really Obi Wan's good and loyal Jedi friend, Anakin (whom we never see in the PT)
Can you imagine how shocking that revelation would be? We're all under the impression that Darth Vader was the little shit of a student we saw in the PT, but it turns out to be Luke's dad!
It would make his unmasking that much more coherent with the PT (seeing as Sebastian shaw looks nothing like Hayden Christensen).
Wow ... I think that's a damn good idea, but I have no idea how it could possibly be done.
The only way I can think of is going the Beatrix Kiddo (Kill Bill) route and bleeping out Anakin's name whenever it comes up :P

So... we'd watch 6 hours of young Obi's adventures with some guy who ultimately doesn't matter, never meet anyone named Skywalker,and then when he talks to Luke in "Star Wars" he'll refer to his good buddy Skywalker that we've never heard of. Then in "Empire" we learn Vader is Luke's father.
My first thought would be 'WOW! Unnamed guy with the eye-scar was really Luke's father!" not "Wow, Luke's father had the exact same character arc as eye-scar guy but is totally unrelated and so unimportant as not to be featured in the last three movies."

I'd rather a character who "doesn't matter", and becomes a sort of a red herring (we think he becomes vader) than a whiny Anakin Skywalker. At least we'd be justified in hating Hayden Christensen this way, and it doesn't take a shit over our preconceptions of Anakin as a good man who falls to the dark side.

Why would you think that? Besides, if someone found a way of giving him a name, this wouldn't be a problem.
EDIT: Also, and this is, afterall still a radical idea, Adywan, or whoever might do such a drastic edit, could insert some holo transmissions somewhere with his face lifted from Sebastian Shaw's other work, and redubbed. He could even replace some Jedi on the council who contacts via hologram at points in the film. There are also plenty of examples of different characters saying "skywalker" so that it's clear who is in the transmission.

when i was younger, before 1998, i did always think that the jedi and sith were like two evenly powerful sides that just wiped each other out until there were only 2 of each other left.

It looks more like the Prequels I expected to see before 1999, shame it's just a game really.
A few minutes of lovely computer graphics however doesn't guarantee a good story though.
I also suspected that Fett might really be a woman under that helmet and here we see that...sort of.
Which reminds me that is a good footage of jedi temple :D

Even if Anakin was seamlessly renamed Stinkpot Magee, if I watched three movies about how Stinkpot Magee fell to the darkside, served the Emperor, and hunted down the Jedi, and all of a sudden the character Vader, who fell to the darkside, serves the emperor, and hunts down the Jedi says "Luke, I am your father" is it more likely that ones mind would draw a connection with the main character in the PT who does all those things, or with a character mentioned once before and not even named, and be shocked how the nameless Mr. Skywalker did everything Magee did, only wasn't in the movie, and somehow became Darth Vader.
Well such similiarities would hypothetically be addressed in such an edit. I'm just throwing ideas around. I'm not necessarily saying it's doable.
I think it's unnecessary. Anakin should be Anakin. Especially for the Revisited edits, given the locked nature of ANH:R
That game trailer was stunning, but it's a shame that it's a trailer and not game footage. :p Oh, and no purple sabers?! Haha. That part with all the red sabers running at the blue and green ones was cool.
