I am pretty sure Nintendo didn't actually owned Rare. Rae was a third party developer with a good deal of loyalty toward Nintendo. Hands down, the best games of the N64 era game from Rare. Microsoft bought them out, which effectively cut off the relationship with Nintendo. Nintendo had nothing to do with this move. Before the buy out, Rare was big stuff. Now I never even hear that name anymore. Guess they just made a new game in the Banjo series, but that is the first time I heard their name for a long time.

Shadow of the Colossus does have a very impressive score, it really works with the gameplay increasing the overall experience of the game (which is brilliant).
