Hey Ady.  Wanted to let you know, we just did an interview with Kyle Newman, who directed Fanboys.  He told us that he has seen your ANH:R DVD, and he and Dave Filoni watched it, along with a some people at Lucasfilm.  And they are following your ESB:R.  Just something I thought you would like to know.

Can't wait for the trailer!!

Not so great if your sceptical about Lucasfilm watching these here threads.

That's what I worry about, Lucasfilm has been nice enough to let it go so far, and I so hope they continue to do so.  They are not always consistant either, they might let things go on for years then all sudden send out a cease and desist, and that worries me. I hope they let fans have fun with these films, no profit is being made.

Happy life day master Ady.

Have another on me..

BTW, its great posting whilst in that state, i do it all the time.

Then you can regret it the day after, and cringe at what you posted here ;-)

Speaking of which, how about a Holiday Special Revisited, as that would be a sure thing.

I wonder who the others were?  Was George there?  His lawyers?  The cleaners?   ;)

Am I the only one worried by this?

Probably.  I can guarantee George knows damn well ANH-R exists.  Lucasfilm lawyers are all over people who make money on his product, and there are people who do nothing but scour the internet for violators.  (Waves hi to the lucasfilm guy reading this)

And as long as no profit is made and the brand of Star Wars is not injured in any way, he will allow certain things to happen, like the 501st, with whom he actually has a very good relationship with.

The only thing that could possibly happen is that it becomes so huge it would hurt any potential blu-ray sales.  Not likely, seeing as so many of my Star Wars friends still do not know about ANH-R.  Did the Phanton Edit cause problems?  Darth Sidious'?  Nah.

Ady has no worries as long as he makes no-zero-nada-zilch money from this endeavor.  If he hasn't been contacted by now, and I seriously doubt he will be as long as he continues just as he has before.

It's exciting but also mildly troubling.

I doubt those at Lucasfilm spend much time watching Star Wars fan edits, so this shows just what sort of waves Revisited has made (hopefully good waves).

I wonder sometimes if Lucas himself has heard of it yet, and if so what his thoughts are. He should be proud that his films are highly regarded enough to have so much effort and time put into improving them. But at the same time, I worry that some of the higher-ups might become concerned that these are turning out better than the official versions.

Not that history will ALWAYS continues, but the poweres that be left OCP and JambeDavdar alone with their project to completion, but im really concerned Ady has TOTTALY upstaged a major film studio with their release of the SE, then the release of ANH:R there after, so its a concern thant they'll let it get any further. And anything half decent thats been made/underway (ie.Pink 5 triology) is held under a Lucasfilm Licence over at Atom.

I'd prefer to think Lucasfilm should take in Adys work as point of direction, as to what people really want, then show us their take on how they can go better than these edits, on maybe blu ray, or the next new format, whatever. But now im warmongering for the benefit of the fans.

(EDIT) I have no idea what i was going on about here in my intoxicated state, proving my point, about re-reading your posts the day after, but i think i must have belived in something at the time of wrighting. God knows what though!
