My problem is with modern action films in general more than anything, I think. Too much over-the-top action and clichés (including cheesy one-liners, which not even The Dark Knight was spared of) drive me nuts. It just gets to be too much at some point. I was so glad when the battle in Transformers came to an end, for example. It was just at the point where I felt like 'wake me up when it's done, please.'

I am WAY more into story than flash, and in this era of computerizing as much as possible (even a helicopter in The Day the Earth Stood Still?! Surely it would've been cheaper to just rent a chopper for a day), I find story comes second sometimes. To that end, that's why I wasn't crazy about the PT. Too much focus on flash.
