It's a bit ironic to see one who ardently defends the PT (which is a poorly-constructed, unenetertaining, cringe-inducing patchwork of revisionist bunk) accuse the new Star Trek movie (which is well-done, enjoyable, and keeps remarkably close to the spirit of TOS) of having "as much in common with Star Trek as a box of of used tampons". The cognitive dissonance makes my brain tickle.

I find it ironic as well that I have now become a hater thanks to JJ's shit relaunch of Trek. It is in NO WAY remarkably close to the spirt of TOS.

I can't believe I live in a world where I found the last Trek movie better than some SW...

I can't believe I live in a world where people feel that way.

i know! the success of new trek is in its reinvention. its not old trek at all.:P

i think we should use this as a benchmark in our edits perhaps?:)

Dont all of you hate the PT becuase it wasnt what you thought Star Wars was? And now you want to reinvent it?

And finally comparing Star Trek and Star Wars is just ridiculous, they are completely different from one another.

sorry, i shouldn suggest changing things, or opening debate. i mean its only a fricking fan edit website. no offence axia, but whats with being crazily defensive all the time? you seem to love your encyclopedias and PT factbooks, but at the end of the day i just want to see a great movie. the great thing i found about the new trek film, is that it had 60s qualities to it, but was brought into a futuristic style too. so what if it wasnt standard trek? it was a great straight forward film.
