Well I mean it WAS supposed to be a sunset shot....there's no hint of that in Vaderios's version. But I see what you mean. Honestly, the more colors the faker the cgi looks...it looks like spykids or something

I had in mind the sunset but I ve made an other pic that i didnt post it that the door that the spaceship is coming is similar with OT(with forcefield) and it tints blue the color a bit.

Also i made it to be more night(after sunset) to have a more cold lighting in the room.

So the next shot of the temple and the stardestroyers have a morning sky.

Maybe this is something that colour correction can get around, but something absolutely huge and drastic must be done about the entire look of AOTC and ROTS.

TPM is fine, aside from the pink tint throughout, that can just be corrected, they seemed to use a lot more physical sets in it. But almost all of AOTC and ROTS has this horrible, "airy", blurred and vague sort of look, that just feels so fake, and artificial. It's from the CGI sets, obviously, almost every set (espcially every scene on Corusant, and most of Geonosis, Mustafar and Kamino. Utapau wasn't so bad, I think the unique look of the place helped it a lot, and Naboo looked fine, probably because a lot of location shooting was done for it. Tatoone looked good in TPM, but again, it looked artificial in AOTC/ROTS).

I mean ,I've watched the ROTS extras, and the filming for the Anakin/Obi-Wan fight is astounding. It's the two actors, in costume, with the lightsaber props, fighting away, showing off their skill and all that, on a huge green screen. There's not even one single prop around them, it's just green (and blue for soem of the later scenes). How can you expect your actor's to do a good job when they can't even see what they're supposed to be standing on in the film? The new Star Trek did this the right way. There was lots of CGI used (and damn good CGI at that), but the actors were always clearly standing on either a physical set or a location. It never felt artificial, and I believe that helped the actor's in their role's immensely.

One reason I love the OT is because of the sets, they feel like places I could go and explore. The Millenium Falcon interior is one of my favourite settings in any film, ever, because it feels so homely, and real, like people really lived and travelled in it. I don't get that special feeling from any location in AOTC or ROTS (excepting the Naboo lakehouse, which was of course a real house, and quite impressive looking). I think this is a major reason why the films fail at drawing in their audience, and it must be fixed as a top priority.

I've seen the colour correction you've all done to make it more like the OT, and with more colour variety, ans it really helps the film look more interesting and more importantly, real, with the Jedi Temple recolours in particular helping to remove that awful "bad video game cutscene" feel. However, I'm still concerned that the films will still suffer from it's fake look, despite any edits and changes made, which would be a shame.

And damn, did this turn out longer than I thought it would. I guess I just can't express enough contempt for the way AOTC/ROTS look at the moment. I hope it can be fixed entirely.

P.S. Attack of the Clones is a god damn terrible title. I've meant to say that for the last seven years. It's not even accurate to the film, the clones don't turn bad until ROTS.

TPM is faded, AOTC is F*cked up, ROTS have perfect colors in the entire PT. All need new color correction in different levels. Some to tone up and some others to toned down.

ROTS can be used as guide...

I miss the idea of an ancient republic. Ancient buildings, architecture, etc. Everything looks so damn new in the PT.....like a SET.

Nice colour change vaderios.

I quote this again because i reconsider that.

No Its not Sunset from that point of view! The sun is behind the building so from that POV we see the city and its darker.

I did in purpose to lower the horizon so the city is visible.

I like the glowy airlock thing. Calls back to the Death Star hangar, which I assume was the idea, although the impression I took was that it was an actual airlock thing (so not necessary in the atmosphere)

As far as them being in the atmosphere it could be a energy field for security and not keeping the air in.  Very well done Angel but I think Id perfer something in between these two shots as far as the coloring goes.

This shot doesn't need the force field glow because the hanger isn't open to space, the colours are great though but I like the original teeth of the hanger door.

I put the force field because it gives a cold night light. Still the focus is in the door. I feel its like a Darkside filter to the outer planet :P

I didn't even know they were making another one. :p

Anyway, uh...thanks for the reply! Haha. I'll have to try a color correction of my own sometime. Don't really know how, but whatever.

It would be nice to see some mockups of the exteriors of some of these giant Genosian structures.

It was odd how many open air areas they have which somehow vanish into the landscape.

Wait, are you posting mockups we haven't seen there, or the same ones you already posted here?
No offense, but I'm not interested in joining yet another forum. (Especially if it's just someone's personal site)
