AUDIO_TS folders will have nothing in them unless it's a DVD-Audio (which have nothing in the VIDEO_TS folders unless it's a hybrid DVD-Video/Audio, which most of them are).
Those are all the necessary DVD files (though technically all you *need* is a VIDEO_TS folder), but I was under the impression that the RapidShare download was an ISO file. You didn't extract that with WinRar, did you? IIRC, that causes problems. If it works in PowerDVD, fine, but don't try to burn those folders if you have the ISO file somewhere - THAT'S what you need to burn.
And I think his intention there was to match the movement of the original display, but fix the time (which was wildly inconsistent originally) and update the look in general a bit. I don't think he was too concerned about the speed at which the DS was travelling. Besides, at the real rate it would have barely appeared to be moving at all, which isn't good for dramatic purpose. It's simply artistic license.
And I don't recall that R2 shot ever being replaced. Besides, the DVD-9 is the final version, and Ady himself has stated there will be no further changes to ANH. On top of that, he's lost the original files, so the DVD-9 that you now have is the best ANH:R will ever look (which is pretty fantastic in my opinion).
