It is a great time. I am anticipating TS i hope it dominates rise of the machines (i didn't care for it sorry guys). I have always loved judgement day. I actually saw judgement day first.
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Good, we don't have to wait for Lucas's lazy ass to get the blu-ray out.
I would think that official Blu-Ray releases from LFL would look way better than anything shown on TV thus far, especially if they were done right. ;)
Despite everyone's varying opinions on his editing choices in the films themselves, Lucas's Star Wars DVD releases were looked to as a standard in both DVD package/menu design and media quality. I think some of them even won some awards. When Lucasfilm puts the time into releasing a proper package, they do an excellent job.
Also, just watched the new clip, and there's some great stuff in there. I'm not sure if it's just me, but Obi-Wan's ghost looks a little jittery in places, almost as though he's either playing at a different framerate than the rest of the scene, or that his head and body are from different sources, and slightly out of sync with one another. I haven't gone and looked at it frame by frame (though I can go back, rewatch, and get more specific if you want), but that was the impression as I watched it. There was a similar jittery-ness in the opening Cloud City shot's clouds (though that aside, seeing it in motion is great, and it looks fantastic), though I know it's still a temp shot.
Hope this helps; thanks again for all the fine work you have and are putting into all of this.
Take care,
Sojourn

You have got to be kidding. Do us a favor and take your Man-Boy love for GL some place else.
I love everybody. Lets all smoke some reefer and chill. Hug and kisses for everybody.

Actually, I agree with Sojourn. Outside of the fan community (and to some extent within it), the 2004 DVDs were very well received at the time. The reaction to the quality of the "bonus" original versions were the only ones universally derided.

vbangle please continue to quote people out of context and throw undeserved insults at them, it's always a joy to read.
I beg you to never actually read the content of the post you are replying to it will add to the comedic impact of your retort immensely.
maybe he has a hormone imbalance
its such a shame vbangle, because on the polotics thread you are often spot on with peoples idiocy, but here its just a bit mean sometimes

I would say so. Even though I think ESB is fine as it is on the DVDs, I'm anxious to see what Adywan can cook up for ESB:R

Considering the changes we've seen with the asteroid chase, the transport escape, cloud city, and Yoda's facial movements, I think a lot of us were wrong in assuming ESB was perfect as-is.
Hell, the color correction alone is worthy of high praise!
“Lifes a song you don’t get to rehearse, and every single verse can make it that much worse”
i never realized how much blue was in that movie! i don't think the color was as bad in ANH.

yeh, its turned out that way. but ESB pales into comparison to what i have to do for ROTJ:R. I'll be scratch building a 4ft approx stardestroyer so i can get some of the new Fx sequences i want to get done. And thats just for starters
a 4ft star destroyer?
*shudders*
Are you sure you don't want some one to help you with that?
The person your searching for simply does not exist
Yeah it might take forever for ROTJ to get released, why not borrow some other fans already made models? I surely there would be some well made ones that someone in the UK would let you borrow, having to hand do everything takes up so much time.
as you are making the falcon, are you making a tie fighter model too?
ady probably already has a few ties. I watched ANH:R yesterday only this time on my parents big shiney tv. God it was so beautiful. The Tatooine parts always bothered me. In obi wans hut it varied by release but the
1990 vhs box set. It was over saturated.
GOUT almost colorless and too dark
and in the DVD it was just ok. But you made everything just so realistic.
Tattooine looked like a hot planet. I really liked how when luke returns to the homestead and finds his aunt and uncle dead. It looked like it could storm any moment.
If you took a movie that for years made me sick to my stomach because of over saturated grainy picture and made it eye candy. I can barely imagine what you would do to empire which was always eye candy to me. Good luck on this one ady. The force is strong with you.

Earlier I was chatting about how much a shame it is that after building that huge model we only saw one side of the ROTJ Death Star and how it would be impossible to build it again and you come on here and talk about 4ft Star Destroyer models.
After building it I can see you being tempted to go back and fiddle with ESB:R and ANH:R (imagine what shots you could do with such a resource).

Still I wish he would get help, surely after showing someone ANH:R and ESB:R they'd be willing to help him with the modeling work. I'm betting someone in the U.K. has some of these already built. It's looking like at least another 5 years or more before it (ROTJ:R) will be released.

but i've stated before i enjoy building stuff like this. so what if ROTJ:R does take another 5 years to be released. I'd rather it turned out the way i want it to rather than a half assed effort. i've also said a few times why i won't borrow anyone elses models. its just not a risk i am willing to take.
Don't you mean a 1.3 metre Star Destroyer, Ady?
Making your own models is a great way to go. You get to keep them.

Or maybe have some Gungans walking around in the background? Maybe a Neimodian or two?
Oh god, please tell me you are joking
Judging from her posts on the Prequel Trilogy, I bet she's serious about seeing Gungans in Empire. :P
