First trailer shows an updated Emperor, much improved IMO.  The new dialogue is being removed, and all that will be left is the McDiarmid footage and his dialogue.  Trimmed to have less BS.

Some parts and shit is good to show extend to han's face. I don't like the idea of face cuts because is impossible to show them in the rest of the film.

I'm looking through the old Darth Editous ESB thread (here) and here's an interesting thought he made: "When Vader chops through the railing, it looks like Luke's lightsabre should have chopped through it at the base. Of course, if that happened, that section of railing would tumble into the abyss..." He said this with the purpose of making it happen.

And: "my version of the Emperor scene will be a shot-for-shot replica of the original (the SE DVD changes a lot of the shots around), and will include a side view of Ian McDiarmid saying "He could destroy us" which is not present in the 2006 DVD (how I do that I'll leave you to guess)." Ooo!

AAAaNNnnDDd, a fix he made: "R2 now doesn't bounce when he falls in the hole in the Falcon's floor - he just disappears straight down." I've been asking about this one for a while now and would love to hear Ady's thoughts on it, please! ;)

And I wish I could see DE's new weather vane shot. Even Adywan said it was amazing. That goes for all the old screenshots, as all the links are dead. :(

I agree with Vaderios that any kind of facial damage would be near impossible being that you would have to include it for the rest of Harrison's scenes. What you could do is:

(1) not so much add the "blue electrical energy" ala the mind probe in ANH:R but add sparks and other enhanced electrical shock sound FX; THE EXORCIST proves that sound can be just as scary as anything you see.

(2) maybe add a back wash lighted grid on Han's shirt to show where the electric needles are going to be applied (kind of like how in ALIEN you see the reflection of the computer screens on some of the actors and actresses faces)

I LOVED  the first edition ! I cannot wait for the follow up !

I dont have problem either if there is a beam or not, just wondering if is good to show it.

Also for some reason i dont like the center paneling of the emperor. I mean i understand that is the focus object. Maybe a little tilt to the camera to have more diagonal lines or zoom and reposition a pit the emperor.
