^Thanks.

Actually i ve noticed that AT-ST has uselless detail and more "life" instead of the front. It would be cool to change or enhance the back shot with a weapon storage ;)

how about loads of green filth aswell, like the troops in ROTS. maybe the back could have some form of animated pistons and machinery, although that borderlines on steampunk.

Just watched ROTJ today and I noiced that the cockpits in the AT-ST's are pretty weak. With all the mockups I have seen of jedi fighter and x-wing cockpits, I thought these would be omething new to fix.

Also there is some great CGI of the Falcon and other fighters entering the Death Star II in one of the menus for the chapters.

I concur!

Hey Vaderios:
Is there any way to redo the Scout Walker cockpit to have the single rectangular window similar to the AT-ATs?  I never liked the droopy eyed windows, as not only did it look non-threatening but were actually quite useless can the guys piloting REALLY see anything outside of those things?).

I would think that the "window" would be a viewscreen, with one guy piloting and the other being the gunner.

I think it would be neat if there was a hologram of what is in front of them right in the middle of the controls. Similar to the war room in AOTC just on a smaller scale. Maybe we could have little ewoks running in the hologram.

I thought in the panels to show a 3d projection of the battle. What is enemy and ally. But i thought that when the image is rescaled the detail will lost and cause a shit happens thing.

I dont like the wide windshield idea even it looks cool. I like that they are some short of blind in a metal box.

Holograms from the other is a bit too much for a small scout walker like this. I mean its out place to spend so much energy.

I believe some more blinking lights and some new details will be enough.

I like though the idea of the hologram in the bunker instead of the screens.( a reason to make the bunker more big)

Here is something simpler. Give them a periscope or in the star wars univers Holoscope. The ATAT's had periscopes It would be simple.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

I like vaderios enhancement as-it is. I wouldn't add anything more. it's just enough to liven up the interior, but not distract from the action. great job vaderios.

i haven't noticed if we've done this yet, but vaderios, have u done an update of the landing platform? more speciffically the AT-AT?

Gotta disagree there.  Forget whether it would be "cool" or not; it just doesn't make sense to put poorly designed windows that you cannot see out of and would let in, say: poisonous atmospheres, the vacume of space, etc.  On top of that, you have to PROP UP TO SEE OUT OF THEM.  If you had the single rectangular window it would also be consistent with the design of their bigger brother AT-ATs.

But even more to the point, it wouldn't look CHEAP like everything else in JEDI.

BTW, is it just me, or do the prop-up windows make the Scout Walkers look like they have eye lashes?  I wonder if they use Maybeline...

I added a subtle glass/ray shield to the eyes so its not so vanureable to shots/gases etc.

The Wide windshied you say is impossible to put it in motion witouth 3d tracking ot new 3d models.

I dont have problem with that, just im thinking ideas with already elements ;)

Now if ady decides to make a AT-ST model then convice him to put a windshield ;)

one thing i liked about STARWARS that the ATST windows epitomized was how rustic and basic the technology is sometimes. if i works why not use it?

I am really sure the empire needs a windsheild when fighting ewoks. They probably underestimate every enemy they fight so why go all out. Even if they had a windsheild it is not like they have good periphreals (spell check). The big ATATs had big weaknesses to. I am guessing they dont give a hoot because they rely on strong armour and sheilds. Ewoks are no threat to them in their minds. Have you seen a smart imperial. Do stormtroopers always hit their marks? NO. the empire is pure brute strength.

Yeah, the scout walkers are more brute force, like a tank.

Vaderios, I don't understand the logic of this image, is this dawn or dusk? And why do we need that?

Luke surrenders at night (Vader comes to collect him) but they leave in the morning so it's dawn.

The AT-ST view port has never bothered me but they do need a radar display grid on those screens for sure. No holograms try to keep it within OT technology style. perhaps for camouflaged Imperials this pattern would do well? Seems Star Warsy to me.

with anakin appearing as the force ghost at the end, whether it be hayden or the other guy, ady should still make him appear out of thin air instead of just being there. it kinda takes a surprise away just seeing him already there.

Correct! Its better to show more variation to the image. Han looks the platform and then we cut to the fleet. Its a good moment to show the time that passed ;)

I'm not in favor for many fan edits really but something just came up to my mind when listening the ROTJ soundtrack. Jabba's theme or his background music isn't really menacing enough, there are just some weird trombones or something and not enough creepiness that would make the palace scary and that the rebels might not survive. So if there's any music that would fit better that would be a nice change.

And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

I'd love to see somebody (SSWR, Bingowings) throw together a New ending for RotJ after Ewok celebration that would go a little something like this -

Night -

Camera closes in on jedi temple as celebrations can be heard outside

Luke looking out over coruscant as ben & yoda sit in there old chairs

(maybe) Qui~Gon (& thats a BIG maybe) appears in the centre of the room beside Anakin

Cut to senate building Via Palps Statue being toppled

Mon Mothma is stood in central podium

with Senator Leia organa coming into view on floating podium, 3Po & Others are with her.

(if Lando is killed in DSII)

cut to Bespin

Statue of Lando is revealed to rapturous applause

Han looks up to it with a sad smile. Chewie  & Wedge are stood with him.

as for Naboo & Tatooine I just don't know of a good way to show those two planets

I'm pretty sure most, if not all of the footage exists (minus the statue bit of course)

so with a lot of cutting it is doable

Well, killing the Emperor and Vader wouldn't free the galaxy anyway.  There are still Moffs, Admirals, and warlords aplenty, with thousands of Star Destroyers to sink, burn, or take as prizes.  Even if we're discarding the EU here, there's years ahead of the Rebellion to rebuild the Republic; even the Senate itself has been disbanded for four years, with military governors having power at least that long (and even longer, if the deleted scenes from ROTS are to be considered).  Do we really think that they would all just give up their power because Vader and the Emperor blew up on a Death Star that was really more the Emperor's bid for personal power than a real military machine at all?  I don't.

True enough

but in a stylized fantasy universe such as SW I think its forgivable
