Josh said:I did not know Geonosis was such a popular vacation spot. lol I think the bugs are fine as it is, but why do they sound like there at a football game? I love the color correction by the way.
It's not a matter of popularity as the separatists are gathering to celebrate the beginning of their master plan to destroy Palpatine. I see it as no different as the rebels are a mixture of humans and aliens, so why not the Separatists/Pre-rebels?
On the clip itself, it's definitely getting there! I see some more changes that could be made to perfect it:
(1) redubbing Hayden ala the SHROUD OF THE DARK SIDE edit clips on youtube (are more adult voice) and some editing of Padme (she doesn't need to say "madly, deeply love you" when just the doe-eye stare will do it)
(2) agree that when Jabba speaks the crowd lessens in intensity to listen. For reference, check out QUO VADIS, SPARTACUS, BEN HUR and even GLADIATOR as far as the "whole" colliseum" feel - when the "Emperor" speaks, how the crowd reacts as the lions/gladiators first come in, etc.
(3) try different tribal chanting to go with the general crowd noise. Try ZULU, KING KONG (1976) which has a very scary tribe sequence you can pull from.
(4) have some quick edits of the crowd to work in scenes from say GLADIATOR and use FX to alter the costumes of the people to better fit in the SW universe.
(5) maybe play with the colors of the stadium and the rock so it stands out better from the sand - maybe add some flags and the like to incorporate some color.
(6) LOVE the T-rex roar (though that is something you can play with B_D; King Kong's [1933 or 1976] mixed with something else; creature sounds from JC's THE THING... just as long as the monster roars don't sound too "goofy"); remember to include the stomping of the feet though when the 1st monster comes in.
Now Ben_Danger, I don't expect you to do all of this so much as this is just a general list of what could be added via Ady's skill level. I understand that this is still a proof of concept overall.
Also, the tribal music was bugging me in that I KNOW I've heard it some place before... until I remembered: that's the muzak that was playing in the gun shop in the 1978 DAWN OF THE DEAD!
